Cupid

Cupid. A mischevious, winged child armed with a bow and arrows famous for piercing hearts and making his targets fall deeply in love... ~source
The Craft's Meow is gearing up towards the Valentine Holiday with a day full of lovely inspiration. If you are following the hop you should have arrived from Jessica's Blog, and if you've just begun, you can find the entire list of links at The Craft's Meow Blog.

The Craft's Meow has an amazing collection of Valentine's Day/Love Themed Stamp Sets, you can find them all here! I chose to work with the super sweet Valentine Wishes stamp set, because I needed some children friendly cards to send to a friend for her recent card drive.

I stamped the sweet Cupid image onto plain white cardstock and colored him in with markers. The wings have a touch of glitter added to them, and I scribbled a shadow around the image as well with a light gray marker. I stamped the sentiment and finished the card with a few layers of washi tape.

Today's Tip: Make an image pop off the card base by coloring the area around it with a light gray or brown marker.

There is a prize today too, for participating in the hop and leaving comments! Your choice of an in-stock stamp set! You have until 8:00 pm Pacific on Saturday, February 9th to leave comments.

The next stop is Lin!

  3. Love your tip about coloring the outside of a white image gray! I didn't pick up on that, but of course, it makes such a difference! That Target washi tape is so fun, especially for being from a non-paper craft manufacturer. Who knew?
