LID:: July Release Day 3

It's the final day of the Lil' Inker Designs July Release. As usual, I hope you've enjoyed the days of hopping. You should have arrived from Jen's Blog!

Aren't these products just so elegant! For my project, I started out altering the card base with some inked edges and mist. Then I stamped one outlined feather and two solid feathers with gold ink from the Fancy Feathers Stamp Set and die cut them with the coordinating Fancy Feathers Dies. I then adhered them to the card base, added a simple bow made out of 1/4" May Arts Silk Ribbon in Pink, and then finished the card with one of the many sentiments from the Fancy Feathers Stamp Set.

LID:: July Release Day 2

Welcome to the second day of the Lil' Inker Designs July Release. As usual, we have a fabulous hop for you. You should have arrived from Jen's Blog!

Seriously, how cool are these products that I featured on my card today!? Some of my favorites from this release. I used two new dies and one new stamp set. I started my die cutting one of the Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag Die Set and then die cut the Seriously Word Die from it and another colored piece of cardstock. After assembling that onto my card, I added a May Arts Chevron Twill Ribbon tab and finished the card with a coordinating sentiment from the Seriously Awesome Stamp Set.

Now for a surprise, and something much needed in my own stash, I added the Angel Policy Stamp Set that was stamped onto some Pinking Edge Sentiment Flags to the back of the card for that extra personal touch!

LID:: July Release Day 1

Woohoo! It's Day One of the Lil' Inker Designs July Release. As usual, we have a fabulous hop for you. You should have arrived from Jen's Blog!

My first project features two of the new releases! I first used the raindrops impression from the Cut it Out Clouds Die Set to make some rain drops running the length of my card then added some layered die cut clouds and lightening bolts! I finished the card with an inspirational stamped saying from the cool new set, Dance in the Rain.

May Arts:: Xyron and Simple Stories

May Arts has the best collaborations and this week we are teaming up with Simple Stories and Xyron for a ton of inspiration! My two favorite past-times during the summer are baseball and reading and was happy to be able to combine these two into one project featuring amazing products from all three companies!

I started the bookmarks by adhering journaling cards from the Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine Kit to a cardstock base with Xyron's Adhesive Runner. I then added the photos of my boys' in their baseball uniforms and embellished with stickers from the kit. I was able to laminate the bookmarks with Xyron's Glossy Laminate Sheets for durability and finished them by adding a tassle of May Arts Ribbon consisting of 1/4" Silk Ribbon in Yellow (SK27) and one of the new colors, Mint Green (SK98), as well as Burlap String in Parrot Green (SM46).

As usual, there are prizes up for grabs by hopping along and commenting on the designer's pages as well as the May Arts Blog. THREE prize packs consist of: Simple Stories' Good Day Sunshine Kit, a spool of May Arts ribbon (winners choice), and a 2.5" create a sticker from Xyron.
