A Red Deer
Just as the residents of Wisconsin are ready to turn in their heavy winter coats for light jackets to welcome the spring weather, the whitetail deer change their coats from a dingy dark brown to a lighter, reddish summer coat.
I was inspired by the beautiful, bright color palette at the the March Altenew Inspiration Challenge and brought out the Modern Deer and Beautiful Day Stamp Sets to create a fun card that I *think* pairs two sets together that wouldn't normally be on the same card for a lovely effect.
I started with some tone on tone stamping on a brick card base the beautiful flowers from Peony Boquet and then layered a white panel with a stamped background from Beautiful Day in yellow and then a red deer from Modern Deer. I finished with a sentiment die cut from the Majestic Blooms Die Set.

Spring 2017 Coffee Lover's Hop
I'm so excited to be participating in the 2017 Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop for Lil' Inker Designs! They are one of the super sponsors for the hop and have many fabulous coffee sets and dies!
The Latte Love Stamp Set and Latte Love Dies are absolutely perfect for this hop! I started by choosing some bright, fun spring patterned paper and die cut them using the set of Stitched Mats: Rectangles. I then stamped and colored loosely with copics the coffee cup from Latte Love Stamp Set and die cut it with the Latte Love Dies. I finished with a sentiment from Latte Love Stamp Set that was stamped onto a curved banner die cut from the Sweet Celebration Dies.
The Coffee Lover's Blog Hops are always so much fun,
as are the products and service from Lil' Inker Designs!Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Oxide Ink and Bunnies
I had to try out the new oxide inks, I just had to!
All the green in the Ellen Hutson March PinSights Challenge collage provided just the right inspiration to pull out the Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink.
I started by creating a background with the inks, and then die cut it with a Lil' Inker Design frame. I then colored and die cut the bunny from Ellen Hutson's Tree Farm, and have him holding a greeting banner.
I gotta say, I love these inks!

Graduated Rainbow
I created a graduated rainbow sky background for my little guy to stand in front of for the Little Tangles Challenge 78: Rainbow, and added some grass and a sentiment banner from Big Top Birthday. For a fun touch, the card base front was dry embossed with large dots.

Mix it Up
An unlikely pairing for me! I'm playing along in the Ellen Hutson's Mix It Up Challenge with Paper Smooches.
I started by embossing a blue cardstock base with the Wild Garden Dies and then watercolored and die cut some individual pieces from this die set. Then I colored the cut pup from Paper Smooches Party Posse and these went onto a card with a stamped banner from Party Posse.

Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #7:: CASE
Ooh, I've got some exciting news to share! I've been asked to join the talented group of crafters over at the Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge! It's a challenge dedicated to the amazing company, Concord & 9th and their amazing products.
The challenge this month is to CASE one of the Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge's designers.
There were so many great designs to choose from, but I ultimately went with Lindsey's Happily Ever card that can be found here. Of course, I loved the overall simplistic beauty of the card, and was drawn to the colored outlines of the flower images arranged at the top, with a bold sentiment towards the bottom. I replicated the same idea in my card.
I stamped the floral image from Hello Lovely onto white cardstock, using Zig Markers right on the stamp. I then added a bit of water to pull some color into the image, still leaving the edged look. I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from Kindhearted. I rounded the corners and added a burlap string bow.
The challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one luck random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree. The favorite entry will be asked to guest design for a future challenge!
The challenge runs until March 29th, so there is plenty of time to pull out your favorite Concord & 9th stamps and die and create a project CASEing one of the Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge Designers! Plus, new Concord & 9th products were released TODAY and they are fantastic!
You can find Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge on Facebook here, and their Instragram here!

Ink Smooshed Blooms
Spring, Spring, where are you? The snow just wants to stay here in Wisconsin, and I want it to leave. I'm ready to get out there and do some gardening!
I have really enjoyed stamping up the different flowers in Winnie & Walter's Addie's Garden for their Third Birthday Bash Festivities. I am playing along with Heather's Ink Smooshing Challenge. I started with some various shades of orange, coral and yellow inks and smooshed them onto watercolor paper, then added some shades of green into the mix. After the inks dried, I stamped the blooms in oranges and greens, then outlined all of the images with a black pen.
I finished the top folding landscape card with a stamped sentiment (from MFT) and die cut sentiment (from Lil' Inker Designs).
