Gray Hares (+a winner)

Skipping Stones Design has a wonderful, fantastic mission:
to help paper crafters share the gift of laughter one stamp at a time.
Love that! Love all the fun stamps Skipping Stones offers too.
Today I'm featuring Gray Hares, a delightful set full of cute images,
regular sayings and a few clever puns too!

I was inspired by the colors (the blue in the bottom right corner, especially!),
and of course the rabbits, from the inspiration collage at Jay Gee's Nook.

I promised a giveaway while I was on vacation as well, and I'm back to announce the winner!
But first, I'd like to thank you for leaving comments here when I wasn't able to return the favor.
I had five posts while I was gone. Child #2 chose post #2: Code Names.
There were 37 comments.
Child #1 chose comment #12.
Yeah! Heather Innusa
Heather, please email me with your home address and I'll get a nice
crafty package out to you! (Heather does some amazing things with Lawn Fawn stamps!)

Almost to Friday Evening

A friend should be one in whose understanding and virtue we can equally confide,
and whose opinion we can value at once for its justness and its sincerity.
~Robert Hall

Aren't Almost to Friday Evenings the best? It is for me, because I get to show you my project for the latest CAS-ual Fridays Challenge! This week, the challenge is to make your sentiment be the star of the show. We are sponsored by the really, really awesome SRM Stickers

Our Logo

I used a long-ish sentiment from SRM's Fancy Sticker Sentiments #55004 Thanks, as well as a border sticker from their We've Got Your Border #57001 Baby Boy sheet. The sticker was mounted to a piece of white card stock, trimmed and attached to some wood patterned paper. A chipboard heart finishes the look.

Tonight also marks a bittersweet moment at CAS-ual Fridays as Julie Ranae retires from her position as a Girl Friday. Thanks for all you did to make CAS-ual Fridays one of the hottest challenges out there, Julie!

Please stop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog to check out the other projects from the Girl Fridays, read more about the sponsor and prize and reacquaint yourself with the rules, if needed! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Yellow Wings

Thanks for sticking with me! I've made it home from my vacation, and a wonderful one at that! In our flurry of complications before we left,  I had to leave all my crafty things behind-yikes!

I'm here to show you a card that I made this morning for the Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge, a lovely sketch created by Angi Barrs, our sketch artist for the month of March!

I used the beautiful butterfly and barely there sentiment from Healing Wings, as well as a soon to be released set! My photo doesn't show, but the butterfly has a light touch of clear glitter on the wings. My color choices came from the amazing palette over at CR84FN.

This month at Skipping Stones Design, we are also welcoming two amazing guest designers, A.J. Otto and  Amy Tsuruta.  And to make things even better, Skipping Stones Design has two new design team members, Lindsay Amrhein and Pamela Young! Skipping Stones Design has also teamed up with month with Scor-Pal for the entire month! For all the challenge rules and details, as well as inspiration from the design team, please stop over at the Skipping Stones Design blog!

No Greater Love

Easter is a special time for me. Time for family. Time for reflection. Time for thankfulness.

The Craft's Meow

Welcome to a special The Craft's Meow Blog Hop showcasing a most beutiful Easter stamp designed by Nina for The Craft's Meow, called No Greater Love. If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from Julie Ranae's blog. If you are just starting, the complete hop list and details can be found on The Craft's Meow Blog!

The main image in this set is so intricate, but stamps so beautifully! You can ink it up and stamp and it would make a lovely focal image, or you can embellish it it your heart's desire. I colored a few elements with marker, then added some gloss to the jewels in the crown.

Your next stop on the No Greater Love Blog Hop is Lindsay! I know she will have done something fabulous with this beautiful set! Please remember that further details and the full hop list can be found right on The Craft's Meow Blog.

Code Names

Popcorn Eggs = Scrambled Eggs
Cow Pickles = Cow Udders
Burnt Meatballs = Yucky Supper
(Please excuse the random introduction, I just needed to document the code names given on certain items so that I can decode future conversations between the two boys.)

Another lovely sketch is up at Skipping Stones Design! I'm featuring one of many Skipping Stones Design's beautiful butterfly stamps, this one comes from the Always Here set. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the image and placed it onto a piece of olive green cardstock that had been whitewashed with white ink stain for a weathered look. I like the contrast between the faded, weathered background against the bright, crisp butterfly.

Please stop on over to the Skipping Stones Design blog to see great inspiration from the guest designers, designers and to read about the challenge rules and prize details!

Supplies:
Cardstock: (Old Olive) Stampin' Up!, (White) Office Max

Stamps, clear: (Always Here, Healing Wings) Skipping Stones Design
Ink: (Tuxedo Black Memento) Tsukineko, (Old Olive Pigment) Stampin' Up!

Pun

Pun: A joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there are words that sound alike but have different meanings: wordplay - quibble - quirk - play on words.

A new challenge is up on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog, and it is a good one! Time to pull out all those punny stamps and have some fun making a clean and simple creation. The sponsor this week is the ever so punny stamp company, Skipping Stones Design!

I worked with the cute set, Friendly Fruit to make a simple and effective card set. Each card has a touch of shine, and some rounded corners. Here are the other two:

The Girl Fridays have really outdone themselves this week, please check out the CAS-ual Fridays Blog, and while you are there, find out more on the challenge, the sponsor, the prize and challenge rules!

I Hope

"And I hope life, will treat you kind
And I hope that you have all
 That you ever dreamed of
Oh, I do wish you joy And I wish you happiness
But above all this I wish you love.
~ Dolly Parton, and Whitney Houston

So excited to introduce another fabulous designer that's joining me today on a Carbon Copied post. The one and only Els from Be Stamped! Wow, what a great and inspiring designer she is. Today we are partaking in the February Paper Craft's Connection Gallery Challenge- All about Love. We didn't know of any stamps that we had in common, but we did have a few sheets from Basic Grey's Curio Collection so that is what is being featured on our creations today. My version also features a cluster of love elements all on a slightly embossed kraft background. I die cut a lovely shape from Pinking Shears and then topped it with a misted die cut canvas heart. Then I wrapped some lovely burlap string and added a pin for an extra splash of color. I'm also going to be adding my card to the Less is More Challenge, to use punches or dies!
Els is such a great designer! Her work is bright, clean and always so chic. I invite you to stop on over to her blog and see her take on the challenge today!
