LID:: April 2017 Release:: Day 3

Welcome to the final day of the Lil' Inker Designs April 2017 Release Showcase...full of innovative, fun and beautiful items! Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies perfect for spring and really, every day! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jessica's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first project features the absolutely gorgeous, simple, multi-stamping Best Blooms Stamp Set and Best Blooms Die Set, all nestled on a kraft background that has been embossed/cut with the Stitched Quarterfoil CoverUp Die

This pairing is absolutely perfect, and I must say, both Best Blooms and the Stitched Quarterfoil CoverUp Die will work with just about any other stamp set out there. They are simply gorgeous! (The banner is from last month's release, Warm Welcome Die Set.)

For my next card, I had to create a custom galaxy background for the perfect graduation sentiment from the Grad Class Stamp Set, which features a lot of awesome sentiments for the graduations that are sure to come up in the next few months.

I embossed the sentiment from Grad Class onto some purple cardstock and then die cut the tag from the versatile Silly Stitched Squares Dies

I stamped the inside of the card with another fun sentiment from Grad Class:

LID:: April 2017 Release:: Day 2

Welcome to the second day of the Lil' Inker Designs April 2017 Release Showcase...full of innovative, fun and beautiful items! Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies perfect for spring and really, every day! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jessica's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first card features an adorable owl from Hootie Patootie, isn't that the cutest name ever for the cutest owls ever?! I also am showcasing the diverse Stitched Chevron Border Die. The bottom front of this card has a chevron edge to it, and I layered some more chevron strips in roses and pinks halfway up the card. The top half of the card features a vine stamp from the new
Best Blooms Stamp Set.

The most fun part about this card is the cute owl stamped and colored with the Hootie Patootie Stamp Set and coordinating Hootie Patootie Die Set. I then created an action wobbler with thin, coiled wire. Here' a super quick video of it in action, that just makes me smile! (Let's hope this works, shall we? It's my first video!)

My next project also happens to be interactive (this release was sooooo much fun!). I created a shaker gift card holder featuring the Apple of my Eye Stamp Set and Apple Shaker Die.

I started by creating my gift card holder by die cutting some kraft and white paper with the previously released Stitched Gift Card Holder Die. The top flap of the die holds the stamped sentiment from Apple of my Eye Stamp Set. I then constructed the apple shaker with the Apple Shaker Die and it couldn't have been easier to do! I know my youngest will be so excited to give this little, fun gift to one of his teachers.

LID:: April 2017 Release:: Day 1

Today is the first of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs April 2017 Release Showcase...I do think this is one of my favorite releases to day! Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies perfect for spring and really, every day! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jessica's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first project features the ever so gorgeous Wreath of Roses Stamp Set and coordinating Wreath of Roses Die Set. I started by stamping the pretty wreath onto watercolor paper and loosely coloring with watercolor, then coating with some shimmer and selective glossy accents.

I adhered this to a cardstock base and finished with a sentiment cut from Wreath of Roses Die Set and a few black pearls.

This next card also features a snipet of the Wreath of Roses Stamp Set and coordinating Wreath of Roses Die Set, but the leading role belongs to the new Pretty Painted Alpha Stamp Set and Pretty Painted Alpha Die Set. I stamped in gold ink and die cut the "Congrats" with these which were bordered on a black piece of cardstock. I then die cut the golden rays from an older die, Wrapper's Delight: Sunburst Die, and adhered that to a white cardstock base and topped with a gold stamped Wreath of Roses. I finished with a sentiment from Go Confidently,
also a previously released product.

A Red Deer

Just as the residents of Wisconsin are ready to turn in their heavy winter coats for light jackets to welcome the spring weather, the whitetail deer change their coats from a dingy dark brown to a lighter, reddish summer coat.

I was inspired by the beautiful, bright color palette at the the March Altenew Inspiration Challenge and brought out the Modern Deer and Beautiful Day Stamp Sets to create a fun card that I *think* pairs two sets together that wouldn't normally be on the same card for a lovely effect.

I started with some tone on tone stamping on a brick card base the beautiful flowers from Peony Boquet and then layered a white panel with a stamped background from Beautiful Day in yellow and then a red deer from Modern Deer. I finished with a sentiment die cut from the Majestic Blooms Die Set.

Spring 2017 Coffee Lover's Hop

I'm so excited to be participating in the 2017 Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop for Lil' Inker Designs! They are one of the super sponsors for the hop and have many fabulous coffee sets and dies

The Latte Love Stamp Set and Latte Love Dies are absolutely perfect for this hop! I started by choosing some bright, fun spring patterned paper and die cut them using the set of Stitched Mats: Rectangles. I then stamped and colored loosely with copics the coffee cup from Latte Love Stamp Set and die cut it with the Latte Love Dies. I finished with a sentiment from Latte Love Stamp Set that was stamped onto a curved banner die cut from the Sweet Celebration Dies.

The Coffee Lover's Blog Hops are always so much fun,
as are the products and service from Lil' Inker Designs!

Oxide Ink and Bunnies

I had to try out the new oxide inks, I just had to!

All the green in the Ellen Hutson March PinSights Challenge collage provided just the right inspiration to pull out the Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink.

I started by creating a background with the inks, and then die cut it with a Lil' Inker Design frame. I then colored and die cut the bunny from Ellen Hutson's Tree Farm, and have him holding a greeting banner.

I gotta say, I love these inks!

Graduated Rainbow

Oh, every time I ink up and color these little guys from Neat & Tangled's Better Together Stamp Set I can't help but take a walk down memory lane. They remind me so much of my own two sons years ago, especially if colored with brown hair and wearing blue jeans.

I created a graduated rainbow sky background for my little guy to stand in front of for the Little Tangles Challenge 78: Rainbow, and added some grass and a sentiment banner from Big Top Birthday. For a fun touch, the card base front was dry embossed with large dots.
