2018 MFT Card Design Superstar Challenge: Coloring Virtuoso

Looking back at cards I have made in the past, some of my favorites were cards created for the MFT Superstar Challenges. So, I thought I would throw my hat in the ring again this year, and I am so glad I pushed myself to try to new things! Today I have an entry for the  MFT Card Design SuperStar Challenge: Coloring Virtuoso Category.

To create the cave on my card, I used stamps from MFT's Mermaizing as well as Space Explorer. I then stamped and masked off the cutie mermaid. After these areas were masked off, I applied distress ink to the Radiating Rays Stencil.
I then colored all areas with Copics, adding a bit of sparkle to the mermaid's fins and hair with gel pens in silver and gold.

Where Creativity Meets C9 September Challenge #25: Color Inspiration

The September Challenge for Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge brings a beautiful Color Inspiration for you (found here). Time to pull out all your beautiful amazing stamps and dies from Concord & 9th (affiliate links used)  and create! We can't wait to see how you were inspired, as this challenge is dedicated to the innovative stamp company and their products!

I couldn't resist inking up and coloring the beautiful Grateful For Everything Stamp Set. I used dye ink and water, and then splattered the image with gold paint. I then die cut the colored image from the coordinating Grateful Dies. Before adhering the image to a white card base, I stamped the same arrangement from Grateful For Everything in a light blue and a sentiment from one of my favorite sets to grab sentiments from, the Many Mandalas Stamp Set. A few more gold specks and a strip of gold paper were added to the card, and then the main image.

The challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree. The favorite entry will be asked to guest design for a future challenge! The challenge runs until September 29th, so there is plenty of time to pull out your favorite Concord & 9th stamps and die and create Plus, new Concord & 9th products were released TODAY and they are fantastic!

Grateful for Everything

Concord & 9th is continuing their celebration of three years in business and lucky me, I was able to join in on their celebration by showcasing their new stamps. Today I am featuring the Grateful for Everything Bundle. Oh my goodness, the Grateful for Everything Stamp Set is a thing of beauty! And I love how they thought to make a coordinating die with a delicate and graceful sentiment die that matches the set perfectly.

I stamped the large floral fall based image with brown ink and watercolored the image using dye based ink. I added some watercolor splatters, as I just adore the messy look. To finish the card, I die cut the sentiment in mustard colored paper and adhered this all to a card base.

I hope you've had a chance to check out Concord & 9th's amazing August 2018 release!

Catherine Pooler Designs:: Kind of Batty Release:: Day 2

Welcome back to the second day Blog Hop for Kind of Batty- the newest, awesome release from Catherine Pooler Designs! This collection features stamps, coordinating dies, stand-alone dies and two new ink colors. It is a delightful mix of Halloween, Autumn and every day.

I've got a few projects to showcase today for the first day of the blog hop-although all items are now available!

I went vintage for my first card today. As in yesterday's card, I stamped the Angled Squares Background Stamp with Sand Castle Ink onto some cream cardstock, and added some splatters in the Sand Castle Ink. I then created some roses from the beautiful Rose Garden Stamp Set and Rose Garden Dies. I only stamped the last two layers of the the roses. The combination of inks I used It's a Girl and Peppermint Scrub. For the leaves I used and Green Tea and Eucalyptus. I used the single, last layer of the Three of a Kind Dies for a statement sentiment and finished off the sentiment from stamps from the Kind of Wonderful Stamp Set.

My next card features the show-stopping Spiderweb Background Stamp that pairs so perfectly with the Going Batty Background Stamp and Who's There Coverplate Die! I did some simple stamping using the Going Batty Background Stamp with the new Twilight Ink and over that I stamped the Spiderweb Background Stamp with Black Jack Ink all on onto Mirror Cardstock. I then ran the card front panel through my die cutting machine with the Who's There Coverplate Die and backed the panel with different, fun colored cardstock panels and covered the eyes with glossy accents and Nuvo Drops. I finished with a sentiment from Spooky Hollow Stamps  with Midnight Ink

My last project features a Halloween tag that I stamped the Going Batty Background Stamp in Twilight Ink and then the Grunge Background Stamp (available from the Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval Collection) in Sweet Sixteen Ink. The tag was made from the Tags, Etc. Dies. I added detail images from the Spooky Hollow Stamps and Spooky Hollow Dies.

Please be sure to hop and comment, as there are prizes! 3 random winners chosen to receive a $25 gift certificate to the Catherine Pooler Store! Winners will be announced on Catherine's blog, the evening of Monday, August 20th.
