Season's Greetings Deer

I had the great pleasure to create with the fun and versatile Spellbinder's Season's Greetings, Deer die set.This die set was highly requested to be re-released as a die set from Spellbinder's 2018 Nov Card Kit-and I'm so glad that they did! 

My first project with this sweet die set is a holiday tag! I die cut each a few of the pieces from Season's Greetings, Deer and colored them with markers. I adhered them to create a doe and added some coordinating patterned paper, then cut a tag shape. Then I die cut the fun sentiment from this set from white  paper and added that to the tag as well. A bit of natural string finished off the tag.

My second project with Season's Greetings, Deer is a bit more traditional. I found some older holiday patterned paper with a vintage feel and arranged them on a card base. I added the sentiment from the Season's Greetings, Deer to the top of the card, followed by some natural string, and then created the reindeer. I colored the bits and pieces with ink blending and added detail with marker.

Spellbinders has many samples and a lot of inspiration for this sweet, fun and versatile die set on their website too. I love their attention to detail and the intricacy of their dies. It really makes for easy and beautiful card making! Thanks again, Spellbinders, for letting me share projects made with this whimsically awesome Season's Greetings, Deer die set.

Buffalo Plaid for the Holidays

Patterned Trio of Trees

Working on holiday cards today, it is my intention to finally send some out this year! This cute trio of patterned trees is one of my designs. I used products from the Jolly Holiday Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I cut some strips of patterned paper from the Holiday Whimsy Patterned Paper and then die cut trees from the Jolly Trees Dies. The trees were adhered to a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock that was decorated with the Dotted Zig Zag Cover Plate Die.

Sea Friends

Back today with my second of three requested mermaid cards! This one made me think outside the box, as I wanted to challenge myself to use the colors from the MFT Color Challenge #150. I think I did ok! It was so much fun coloring the adorable images from MFT's Mermazing Stamp Set.

I started my card with a white card base and a kraft panel that was inked with watermark ink and the retired Cascading Scallops Stencil, to create a mermaid/water look. I splattered some gold paint as well. I then stamped, colored and fussy cut images from Mermazing and arranged them on the card front. To finish the card, I added some clear Nuvo Drops, and a stamped sentiment from Sweet Forest Friends.

You are Mermazing

When someone asks for a mermaid card, you get excited and make a mermaid card! So happy to have had the opportunity to pull out MFT's Mermazing Stamp Set by Birdie Brown. for MFT's Sketch Challenge #509. 

I started by inking the Radiating Rays Stencil in a mixture of Catherine Pooler Designs blue inks to create the circle shape in the sketch. Then I copic colored and fussy cut the rock and mermaid from Mermazing, as well as clouds from the retired Magical Unicorns Stamp Set and one of the birds from Happy Hippos. They created the banners and the other circles in the sketch.

I created three mermaid cards in total, so I'm excited to show you them all this week!

Weathered Wood Window Sills

World Card Making Day over on StampNation was a lot of fun! I did a live demo on how I created these two cards with the new items that hit the Catherine Pooler Designs store this past week. I featured the stamp set On My Window Sill, the coordinating dies, and Nuvo Crackle Mousse, together with previously released Boxes of Blooms Stamps and Dies to create a little scene featuring weathered wood window sills. The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Many Ways.

All three StampNation #WCMD2020 were recorded and available on the StampNation site. So much past content, and a lot more to come!
