The Waves of Happiness Release Mini Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs is here, and there are so many options to create with this release, especially the beautiful new ink colors of Bay Breeze, Sea Glass, Tranquil and Cove Blue. The release will be available tomorrow, Wednesday, May 12th for general release and today for Stamp Nation Members.

I couldn't resist trying out some more of my mixed media supplies with the Deep Sea Bundle. This card started by coloring some Dreamwhip Embossing Paste with Sea Glass. I covered a panel heavily with the colored paste, and then pressed the Coral Garden Background Stamp inked with Bay Breeze right into the paste to create a reversed image full of texture and dimension.

After the panel dried, I trimmed it down and mounted it to an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock card base. I also stamped the base with a sentiment from the the Ocean Chums Stamp Set. Then I stamped and lightly colored the stingray image from the Ocean Chums Stamp Set die cut using the coordinating Ocean Chums Dies onto the card as well.

 I really like how these ocean images can hold their own just stamped in a colored ink. You can dress them up or dress them down and they are just as pretty and whimsical as can be.

Swimming By To Say Hi

Under the ocean or next to the sea...these are wonderful places to be! The Waves of Happiness Release Mini Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs is all about our affinity for the seaside and a perfect way to introduce the new ink colors: Bay Breeze, Sea Glass,  Tranquil and Cove Blue. This release is available today, Wednesday, May 12th! Go, hurry, get your new ink colors!

I have a simple interactive card to share today featuring items from the Deep Sea Bundle, (and a few extras!).

I started by stamping the adorable jellyfish from Ocean Chums Stamp Set then die cut using the coordinating Ocean Chums Dies. The image was colored lightly with Copic Markers and a glitter pen. I then created a custom background the ink smooshing technique with Tranquil and Cove Blue inks. 

I die cut from vellum the Cleo Slimline Die and adhered it to the colored background panel as a belly band, allowing room for the panel to move up and down. Then I adhered the panel to an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock with dimensional adhesive around the belly band. I affixed a pull tab to allow the "bubbles" to move up and down.

The jelly fish was adhered to the bubbles and then I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from Ocean Chums.

Waves of Happiness Mixed Media

I am back again with a card for this release made with the Deep Sea Bundle, (and a few extras!) and I can't wait to share it with you.

I had a lot of fun creating a background for the amazing Among the Seaweed Cover Plate Die. I've had some photo paper in my stash for forever, so onto a piece I dropped a few dots of reinkers of all the new colors: Bay Breeze, Sea Glass,  Tranquil and Cove Blue. I then added some water and heat set it, while heat-setting, some bubbles occurred and created a cool background for the Among the Seaweed Cover Plate Die that was die cut from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. I added the panel onto a white card base and then stamped, die cut and Copic colored the fantastic turtle from the Ocean Chums Stamp Set then die cut using the coordinating Ocean Chums Dies.

I finished the card with a sentiment panel inked in Bellini and stamped with a sentiment from the One Liners Sentiment Stamp Set. What a perfect release to practice or dabble in mixed media!
