Say, Karen...
"Say Karen, can you make me..." The gal from work started out a bit frantic, she was in quite a hurry and it was hard to distinguish her words. I heard "Valentine's Day card...not too girly...no frills..need to give it to...send it in the mail...tomorrow" She left for the meeting and I didn't get a chance to see her for the rest of day.
So yesterday I presented this Valentine's Day card and she said it was perfect. Good thing I can still hear a bit. Good thing I have one valentine's day stamp in my stash. Good thing that clean and simple is the way I roll. I used the color inspiration from Off the Wall Craftiness as a base for the card.
Last night someone that I have never met in person but I know through blog land did something so nice and sweet for me, something that I will never forget. Thank you, friend. The friendships I've gained in world of crafting, separate from the daily grind of normal life, will be one I never forget. Ever.

very clean and pretty. Love the chalked/inked edge!
ReplyDeleteI love that sentiment! With a sentiment like that, the card really needs nothing else to be fabulous! Your story reminds me a bit of the time my nephew told me he needed 48 cookies for school the next day. My sister and I used to live together and I'm the baker in the family, so he asked me for the cookies. It was dark outside and near his bedtime when he told me and I had to rush to the grocery store and bake a bunch of cookies--he wanted me to make them, not buy them. I didn't become a Mom myself for many years after that so I suppose that was some Mom training. LOL
