Waltzingmouse Stamps has a CASE challenge for this month. (I think it is a fabulous idea that they are taking a month break in between each release to give their customers a chance to enjoy the previous month's release.) I chose to case this card by Anya by using the clever angled placement of a repeating background image and her fabulous sentiment treatment. There still is something missing in my version, I believe, but it was time to call it quits and move on. (Any suggestions, however, would be most welcome!)
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (Marigold Morning, Natural White) SU
Stamps: (Teeny Trees) Waltzingmouse Stamps
Ink: (Wild Honey, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress) Ranger
I love all the green on your blog... so spring like. I thought the CASE challenge had to use a new stamp set, maybe I should go back and read the rules. I think the card is great, and would definitely make someone feel better. No suggestions from me.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty. I really like the background you made. I looked at your card for a bit to think of something and the only thought I had was to maybe add some green to the sentiment panels, maybe a thin strip? A scalloped strip? Or even a button??? :>
ReplyDeleteWell, i never knew that! A super get well card, i love the way you stamped the circles, I think you have water spritzed them? Well, the effect is stunning!
ReplyDeleteOnly because I LOVE bling, the only thing I would add would be some gems or pearls in co-ordinating colours, I just couldn't resist as I do like things a bit fussy and fancy! xxx
love this and need to case it!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Karen, I want to case it! I love the little lesson in get well card etiquette - so true!
ReplyDeleteHugs!!
A very pretty card. Thanks for sharing it. I too would say maybe a bit of pearls somewhere on the card by the sentiment if you really did want to add something. But I do like it how it is too.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE how you changed up Anya's design! I don't thing there is anything missing at all. Your use of distress inks is perfect.
ReplyDeleteHere's a good one for ya. One of my friend and co-worker is going to have surgery in one week. Our boss got her a card: "Thinking of you" inside the card "With sympathies during this difficult time."
ReplyDeleteWe will continue to have huge laughs over this one and roast him with this rich material until the kingdom comes. lol
This is a fab get well card - love the soft colours. I think it's nice to include a handwritten note, really shows you care.

ReplyDeleteYour stamping is sooo wonderful...love the muted colors.
ReplyDeleteI think your card is fabulous but it is possible to add a scallop strip or a little ribbon by the sentiment panel. Someone else suggested maybe a button. Nothing too significant though, I do LOVE your card. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the etiquette lesson! :) Love the colours and the dreamy water colour look of the card.
ReplyDeleteI really love the look of this- the soft, muted colors- I don't think it's missing a thing... :)
ReplyDeleteLove your misty bg stamping on this - great colors!
ReplyDeleteI love these colors and that stamp you used in the background! I agree with you about how wonderful it is that Waltzingmouse is going every two months instead of every month... I wish PTI would do that... I'm not keeping up so well with them anymore!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful card. But what I appreciated most was the update on proper Get Well Wishes etiquette in your post. That I didn't know. Makes sense though. You're a champion and talented to boot!
ReplyDeletelove how the distress ink makes such a cool effect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a GORGEOUS background panel you've created, Karen! Love your color choices and the distressing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Karen! I love the way you ink.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful lines on this one - I really like the LO. Missing something??? Hmmmm, you are always working wonders with just a bit of twine.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful muted simplicity! In other words...PERFECTION. Looks like Spring and get well wishes to me! Please~ no pearls or bling on this one.
