It's the little things that really matter in life.
Today I took my youngest (4) to his first day of school. (He was evaluated for Speech Therapy for next year and the teachers offered to start him a bit early to get a grasp on improving his speech during the summer.) He was so excited. So excited! Grinning from ear to ear as he placed that backpack in his very own cubbie, chest out, strutting around his new room, happiness spreading through his body as he noticed the lego table, and... giving me a hug with all his might around my legs and saying "Have a good day Mama" as I left him, and his brain, in the care of someone new.

I love this card! Adding the scallops with the patterns on them is really creative!
ReplyDeleteWow! Sending your baby off to school.....I hope you survived! Two of my 3 older boys went through speech, actually come to think of it, all three of them did! It did wonders for them, and two of them began it before they formally started school! It was so great for them to feel that sense of belonging, structure and sense of accomplishment that going to the 'big' school gave them! I wish you and your son the best!
Lovely creation dear.
