The Bicycle Races

When my sisters and I were little we'd get on our banana seat bikes and race down the bumpy concrete sidewalk. We'd claim victory if none of us fell. Seemed like it was a motor sports speedway back then, but in reality, it was just a short block and a half.

The challenge over at Jay Gee's Nook has a really great retro image composition which reminded me of this bike set and the great times (although my bike was a glittery purple). I grabbed a few colors from the composition and created a really clean and simple card...my favorite.

I took a short break there, I was off visiting these wonderful little things...

Can't wait for Friday, the first CAS-ual Fridays Challenge goes live!

And, some more good news! TiffanyDoodles has some really great sales and a new release coming up!

  28. I used to ride my bike down a steep hill that gave me butterflies in my stomach but I did it anyway. My last ride down that hill ended in many nasty scrapes because I crashed. My mother was having a home party of some kind and I ran in the house wailing like I'd lost a limb. I was such a dramatic child. LOL I never found the nerve to attempt the hill again. We moved out of that neighborhood when I was in Jr. High and I went back as an adult to see the hill and it was much smaller than I remembered.

    Wonderful card, Karen!

  29. Cute! I use to have a rainbow bright banana seat bicycle with a rainbow painted on it. I told the hubby recently that I wanted to buy a bicycle for myself. I just love the feel of the wind whiping through my hair. I guess it is the same feeling a dog feels when he sticks his head out the car window. LOL!

  31. Aww, I love your CAS cards! I wasn't very good on a bike, even as an adult. My DH and I rented bikes a few years back to see if we wanted to buy some. After I fell twice on the trail, my DH decided it wasn't such a good idea for me. I had to agree. :) Thanks so much for your sweet comment on the Moxie Fab post & my blog; it means so much to me!
