A Tidbit from Somebody Said...
Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby...somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, normal is history. Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother...somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math. Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery...somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten. Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her...somebody isn't a mother. ~Author Unknown
I had made this first card with the Paper Variety Challenge, Let's Get Messy! in mind, but have somehow forgot to link it up until now! I love the look that spray mists give and the inconsistencies of it, you never know what you are going to end up with which in my mind, is wonderful!

Wow pretty creations n lovely thought.
ReplyDeleteOH MY I LOVE your cards! I love even more your "somebody said" story. It is SO true. My daughter is 14 and I still get teary eyed when she does certain things. I also still get teary eyed when my lil man walks down the hall with his speech therapist twice a week. When my 3 lil ones start school I am going to need a whole case of kleenex because I am going to be a basket case. LOL! For the most part I forgot the labor part of each of my kids but I certainly don't forget their "firsts". First walk, first words, etc. I hope you have a fabulous Mother's Day!!! :-)

ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!
Love the quote--what a great Mother's Day tribute! Both of these cards are stunning in such different ways. The spray mist in the first card is perfect (and that's hard to do with spray misting!). The colors on the second card are so vibrant. It almost looks like sugar on the petals (okay, maybe I'm hungry).
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day, Karen!
Happy Mother's Day! Love these so much, and you are almost making me brave to try the spray mist! It's on the list for when I move! Your second card is so bold and beautiful!
