The Trick
You know that trick when someone tells you that you have something on your shirt, you look down and realize nothing is there and you've been played a fool?... I don't like to fall for that trick.
As I was tucking the boys into bed, our conversation went like this:
Son#1: Mama, you have something on your shirt.
Me: No I don't, I'm not falling for that trick.
Son#2: Mama, you really have something on your shirt.
Me: No, really, I don't, I'm not falling for that trick.
A secret: After the boys were in bed I did look down, and sure enough, I had a seahorse tail stuck to my shirt...
Latrice Murphy challenged her readers to create a Lawn Fawn project inspired by her beautiful rainbow colored and handmade necklace. After stamping the seahorse from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Sea onto a post-it, I cut him out and used that as a mask to create a few colorful and rainbow like seahorses in a row. Unbeknown to me, part of the masked tail stayed on my shirt. After all the seahorses were sponged, I stamped over them with black ink and mounted them onto a blue cardstock based embossed with a water pattern (which is really woodgrain.)

ReplyDeleteYour story is so funny! Once my two brothers and I told mom she had something in her teeth in a restaurant. She kept trying to get it and we kept telling her that she missed it - she looked at my dad and he made the face like we were telling the truth so she went to the bathroom to look and there was nothing there! She is still "not happy" with us over that but we thought it was hysterical!
ReplyDeleteLOL, that's hilarious! But how DID you have a seahorse tail stuck on your shirt? Those aren't fussy cut, are they? Your card and story couldn't be any cuter!
