Half Ton Pum'kins

Pumpkin Rolling. Pumpkin Boating. Pumpkin Drop. Pumpkin Pie Eating. Pumpkin Bake-off. Pumpkin Carving. It all happens at the fall Giant Pumpkin Fest. The highlight of it all is to see if you can beat last year's half ton pumpkin at the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-in, carting your pumpkin in on the bed of your truck and lifting it with a crane onto the scale.

This week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is Falling to Pieces! Use paper piecing on your fall themed clean and simple project. To learn more about the challenge and the amazing prize offered up by Scraperfect, read about the rules, and see a ton of fall themed inspiration from the Girl Fridays and Temp, Stacy Rodriguez, head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog!

My son decided the pepper from Vegtastic by Paper Smooches looked like a pumpkin rather than a pepper. He saved the day as I don't really have many fall themed stamps, and certainly none that would have been suited for paper piecing (putting together an image from pieces of paper). After piecing the pumpkin, I added some vines by using a bug antennae from another Paper Smooches set. The bottom portion of the front of the card was cut away and some patterned paper was adhered to the inside flap to make a standard sized card again.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (Kraft) PTI
Patterned Paper: (Wanted Collection) Cosmo Cricket, (Recollection) Crate Paper
Stamps: (Vegtastic, Giddy Bugs) Paper Smooches
Ink: (Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke Pigment) SU
Other: (Chocolate Chip Marker) SU
