The Newspaper Dog
He would race out of the door, skid to a halt as he reached the end of the pavement, swipe up the paper in his jaws and eventually trot back to the doorstep. His job was to bring the newspaper to the house every morning and he was quite good at it. It wasn't slobbered, chewed, ripped or otherwise ruined. Every morning he did this. Every morning...
Sneaking in to post this idea I had for the current Lawnscaping Challenge: Getting Texty. My sisters were here this past weekend and we reminisced a lot, still doing so myself after they've left. An image of our old black lab fetching the newspaper for my dad on a cold winter morning popped into my head and I had to replicate the memory (insert small cute white dog in place of handsome large black dog as it was easier to color!).
There is only a strip of the white cardstock base showing on the left side of the card on purpose, I wanted the overall feel to be fun and cute, but modern and graphic.
Memories are the driving force behind most of my cards, what is yours?
Supplies:
Cardstock: (White) OfficeMax, (Rust) Bazzill
Stamps: (Critters in the Burbs, Sophie's Sentiments) LawnFawn
Ink: (Tuxedo Black) Memento
Other: (Newspaper), (Markers) Copic
Awww..so cute! :) It's certainly cute and graphic!
ReplyDeleteThe driving force behind my cards...is to use up the scraps from my layouts...wish it was more profound...lol
