Each of us has our own unique card making and blogging style, no? I think that the friendships that develop and the inspiration gained are the highlights of this hobby. Sometimes you gravitate towards a card maker's signature style because they design something that you can only dream of doing, or sometimes their style is similar and you'd like to know how they do what they do.
I appreciate everyone's style of card making, and I appreciate the time people take to share their creations and write about them. I appreciate the friendships, the encouragement, and the internal beauty of each card.
On this wonderful World Card Making Day I thought I'd take you to a few links of my favorite supplies...supplies that I use to help make my style "my style." These are the staples I gravitate towards, short of stamps.

I'd love to hear what some of your favorite products are, my birthday is coming up and I need ideas of what I have to have! Borrowing an idea from a talented teammate, I'd like for you to leave a link to one of your blog posts showcasing your favorite products so I can take a look!
great idea Karen...I'm going to do the same! my fave crafting supplies are a lot like yours, except i would have to include Hug Snug seam binding in Winter White and Cream, PTI double-ended banner dies, Cutter Bee scissors and Stampin UP! dimensionals...these are the things I use most often...oh, and PTI's cardstocks...is there any other kind? ;)
ReplyDeletesuch a fun post Karen! I'm with you with the PTI kraft...I'd say that 98% of my cards start with that:) I also use Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, Glue Dots, my PINK ♥ ATG, Quickie Glue Pen, MS Precision Scissor {for paper only}, honey bee Scissors {adhesives}, SU Craft & Rubber Scissors {rubber only} and Creative Memories All Purpose Scissors {for everything else!}...You might say I'm weird about my scissors...LOL.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that glue pen - I used it for everything. Regular adhesives are just so cheap and never seem to stay attached. My other favorite thing to have around is my micro tip scissors. Thanks for sharing a fun post! Happy WCMD!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post Karen! After being without my crafty things for a long time, I missed my dies and scorepal the most. (ATG gun as well), But I love twine of all sorts! Oh yes, buttons! The space isn't long enough! :-) I will just stop with that! Happy World Card Making Day!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Karen!! I love my nestabilities, border stickers, washi tape, paper snips, Tim Holtz scissors and right now anything hexagon! For my last card I tried out my Pink Paislee Hexagons and Studio Calico Fabrips and they were tons of fun!! Here's a link http://thecraftycorgi.blogspot.com/2011/10/welcome-to-my-section-of-world-card.html
ReplyDeleteHappy WCMD, Karen, and thanks for the awesome post! I've never done a favourite things post but maybe it's about time that I did. I love PTI kraft paper as well and I'm also a bit fan of my SU coloured cardstock, Pop Dots and Xyron adhesive runner. I also seem to use a lot of VersaFine Onyx Black for stamping - love it's clean, crisp look. Have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy WCMD, do we get to see a card too? My go to tool at the moment seems to be distress inks, and I don't have that color, thanks for the enabling.
ReplyDeleteWe have many of the same favorites (and those misters are on my fav list 100% because of you my friend!) I am loving these little tiny jingle bells I purchased from Stampin' Up. I'll post a card later this week...put every day I use the QuickKutz Quicker, Poker, Picker, Upper for adhering gems (love it...and yes that is the name :)!) and I love the Hero Arts Color Hue Clear Gems.
ReplyDeleteLove your fav supplies post! Some of my fans… Distress inks, copics, score pal, embossing folders, versamark, background stamps… so many to choose from :)
ReplyDeleteOhh what a great idea Karen! I love tools and all of the options paper crafters have now. I created a tab on my blog about my fav tools, you might have noticed. Go to's for me are certainly similar to yours no doubt...
ReplyDeleteI would say white CS and Corner Chomper are the most-often used products in my craft room.
ReplyDeletei use the first four products all the time, too! as for the embellishments, i think i use more pearls and buttons than rhinestones and i really need to try Mr. Huey mist some time! thanks for sharing your favorites, Karen! you know i have to have my Copics! =)
ReplyDeleteHI Karen, so fun with this!!!
ReplyDeleteEverytime, I use Honey bee Scissors, UHU GLue (dry),blade, Kaisercraft Glue (wet), cardstock, Bone Stick and Distressed Ink are the most-often used item on every of my craft. one more, the addixted atitude is also part of my 'item'..lol...
