Ruffled Bums

You know those cute little tights for girls with the ruffled bums? If my boys had been girls they would have worn those every day, I just think they are such a cute accessory, especially when they crawl. Pink, purple, yellow...I would have purchased every color to coordinate with every little dress! I went through a phase when I accessorized my boys with cowboy boots, those were pretty cute too. Especially when they decided to don them while wearing just a diaper...

The new challenge is up at CAS-ual Fridays and were encouraging you to showcase the highs and lows-create a project featuring scallops! Annabelle Stamps returns for another sponsorship and has a great prize!

My card today features a tried and true layout and highlights a scallop border punch. I pulled out some matching patterned paper scraps, punched them, inked the edges and then adhered just the tops. Stamped the sentiment and wrapped the card with twine. I ruffled the scalloped edges a bit and even bent the top piece outward for more dimension.

With the card all said in done, it reminds me of those cute little tights with the ruffled bums. A dainty card that I feel would be great in welcoming a new addition or to celebrate a little girl's birthday.

Head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to read more about the challenge, sponsor and prize and to see the lovely highs and lows from the Girl Fridays!

  2. I'm with you on little girl tights, the only downside to having boys... but maybe our boys will be ballet dancers? Regardless, love your CAS take on this card, will have to break out some scallops.

  9. This is too cute Karen! And yes, I alwalys say it's probably a good thing that I didn't have girls, because I'd have them in those ruffled tights until they were like 10! They'd hate me, but those things are too adorable! ;)

  29. Hey Karen!! It's been AGES, I know. :)

    I just wanted to let you know that I just pinned this card on pinterest. After 17 minutes it's received 2 likes and 5 repins. Thought you want to know that I'm not the only one out there who adores your style.

    {I finally caved and joined the world of pinterest. Loving it, but it's not making my ease-back-into-blogland very easy----it's sucking away all of my time.}
