Me: Boys, find a white shirt to put on and come here when you are done, I need to take a picture.
Boys: Why?
Me: Because I said so.
Boy #2: Mama, I don't have a white shirt.
Me: Why?
Boy #1: Because you said so.
Me: Oh dear.
Judith has an absolutely lovely inspiration photo up for her challenge at
Jay Gee's Nook. I was inspired by the hues, softness and silhouettes. I created some faux leather paper with a few ink pads and foam.
The above conversation happened when I was attempting a good picture for a project I have up over at
The Project Girl today, featuring some kits designed by Jen Allyson at
Design House Digital.
(Yes, Mom, you'll get a copy if I can get my act together to print it out!)
I can relate to your dialogue--I try not to "do" white shirts/clothing of any kind at our house, too! Pasta sauce magnets, all ;).
ReplyDeleteLove this beauty of a CAS card, Karen!
What sweeties they are! Boys are such fun! (spoken by a mom of 2 of them, though mine are grown and gone)
ReplyDeleteYour projects are both great!
Awesome card!! Your boys are so handsome, love the photo!! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour boy are too cute...I don't have children but my nephew totally cracks me up....boys are just too fun..
ReplyDeleteYour projects are awesome..
Your faux leather is amazing! It looks so soft and smooth.
ReplyDeleteAnd your boys are a couple of cuties! Future heartbreakers for sure. :)
The faux leather is so cool looking Karen! Your story about the boys with white shirts makes me laugh. I try to prepare myself for the boys all having nice shoes, pants and dress shirts for the holidays or school concert, but it never seems to happen. We took Ryan and Jonathon to a play on Saturday night and I was walking behind Jonathon laughing. The pants we bought two months ago are too short already and he had white socks on with his black dress shoes :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing - in a word. Such a beautiful picture & I love the elements!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Karen! So masculine and fitting for the inspirational pic.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are A-dorable! Such a great idea and an excellent job!
That's a beautiful card Karen and your boys are going to be heartbreakers. :) I can SO relate to the white shirt conversation. A white shirt and a 4yr old just shouldn't be together in the same room. Ever.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I've made a point not to buy white shirts for my son either! The photo is super sweet!! And of course your card is nice, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe faux leather looks really cool. Your boys are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm still giggling! :) Cute post, Karen! Your boys are darling! I always say, "Boys are the best!" (I have two of my own.) Love the card too - very cool looking faux leather!
ReplyDeleteThose are some seriously handsome little guys! Love your rustic looking card, too--the subtle frame and sentiment have a great, aged look.
ReplyDelete1st Karin those boys of your...SaWeet!!! Love the fun little thank you card and the LO with the boys is simple and fun!
