The boys have a game they like to play to duke it out with their minds to see who which one gets the mail on a certain day. It is quite comical, and dare I say creative, on the ways they come up with who wins. It is icing on the cake when crafty supplies arrive in big packages. Whomever got the mail gets to bring in the package, and whomever didn't gets to open the package.
June's Artful Delight Card Kit arrived and it was so much fun to play with the bright, saturated goodies! Most everything on this first card is from the kit. The layout is based on this month's June Artful Delight Sketch Challenge!
Thought I'd show you another take on the same sketch challenge using items from the kit. Isn't that big felt bloom gorgeous?! Young Crafter's Unite is having a Flowers Challenge, and I'll be linking this card up.
I'll also be entering both of these into the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp!
There's so many possibilities with this month's kit, I do have lots to share with you in the coming month!

I can't wait to get my AD kit for June, it's awesome! Love your cards (that bird and the little patterned strips are gorgeous) and the new sketch. I'll be playing along again :)
ReplyDeleteOh so summery cards! You're kids have an awesome way of working to get the mail. As for me I sit in the car as my oldest goes into the mailbox service center. My two middle children take turns going in with him. It's always a plus because the owner brings his dogs to the center.
ReplyDeletewell, in this case, i'd rather be the one that opens the package. =) beautiful lush colors and wonderful takes on the sketch! such pretty cards, Karen!
ReplyDeleteY'know I'm pretty scared of bold colours but you make me want to play with 'em! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHugs!

Oh my goodness..I loved this story! What a great way to share the joy of getting the mail. Collin loves, loves, loves to open the packages! The rule at my house is if you are splitting a treat like a piece of cake, one person gets to cut it and the other gets to choose the piece first :) Very similar!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful as always. I love how that bird is birched on the sweet little banners!
PS Thank you for my goodies!!
Fabulous goodies, and love the nod to the postal theme with the bottom card. Can't wait to see what else you're inspired to do with the Artful Delight kit, I'm sure you'll amaze us.
ReplyDeleteWow! Both cards are stunning! But that first one blows me away! Just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog!

ReplyDeleteBright, bold and beautiful. These are beautiful Karen.
ReplyDeleteP/s: Boys can be sooooo entertaining with their "fun" ideas. My nephews like to create "accidents" with their toys and then laugh hysterically.
So fun when they are as excited as we are!! These are both lovely! Love the rich color!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous but I love the first one with the bird-so cute!
