My grandmother requested some pretty "Thinking of You" cards from me so that she could send to her sister-in-law, the retired, exceptionally talented artist. Grandma told me that Aunt Marge inquired in a phone call to my her about how I, the artist, was doing. I looked at my grandmother, quite puzzled and with a little surprise, that Aunt Marge thought of me as an artist. Grandma went on to say that she had sent one of my cards to her and it was well received. To give my cards to someone for them to send to someone special and have it be a highlight of their day makes this hobby all worth while!
The November Card Kit available at Artful Delight is packed full of great products, as usual. I really wanted to stretch myself creatively and try my hand at another go for Moxie Fab World's Paper Crafting Tips and Tricks Week: The Journaling Card Challenge and contents from the kit just lent the right amount of inspiration and had just the right products. I trimmed a journaling card from patterned paper and then fussy cut extra blooms from an additional corresponding patterned paper and adhered them with dimensional adhesive. The journaling card was bordered by two strips of patterned paper from another sheet from the Artful Delight November Card Kit and I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set available in the October Kit.
Have you had a chance to check out and play along with the two sketch challenges posted over on the Artful Delight Blog?... I think LeeAnne and Debbie do a really great job, too, posting daily inspiration of projects featuring the current month's kit. Today I share a post with my blogging pal, Erin!
It sure has been a busy week here on the ol' blog-o, and we are only half way done... but definitely an exciting one for me! I hope that I set it up easily enough for you to be able to navigate and find inspiration where you need it.
