Perennials
This year I'm finally getting into the perennials. Take the time to care for them twice a year and they come up year after year after year. I planted some lilies, dahlias, irises and hostas. Here's wishing me luck!
Included in this month's Artful Delight May Card Kit are some sketchy rub on transfers from the Amy Tangerine line. I went clean and simple and adhered them onto a card base (the cardstock came from the kit too!) and then colored them in with a Copic Marker. Much to my delight, only certain areas took the ink, and it lent to even more sketchy, colored, look! The sentiment is from the stamp set included in this month's kit.
Here's another version. I used a cotton swap to apply white ink to the clouds and Copics for the sun. (The sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set I already had in my stash.)
Artful Delight offers a monthly card sketch and a scrapbook sketch challenge, details are here...try your hand for a chance to win a kit!
Too gorgeously stamped cards...love them both especially the soft clouds. Good luck with your perennials!
ReplyDeleteGreat CAS cards Karen, the first is my fave! Fingers crossed for your new planting adventure ;)
ReplyDeleteTwo more beauties! Love the colors on these cards. If your gardening skills are anything like your card making skills, you'll have a glorious flower garden.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards look great Karen, I am so jealous of people who can do a one layer card and have it look amazing.
ReplyDeleteAs for perennials that is all I have and each year I just pray they come up. I don't do anything to them. I figured ignoring them was best.
Love that you colored in the rub ons! Easy to do and easy to mail!
ReplyDeleteAll the things I love, pretty colours, cas design and pretty stamps!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your gardening, Karen! I love perennials and get so excited to see them coming back bigger and more beautiful every year. My mother's day gift to myself was a new bed of native perennials that makes me smile every time I look out the window.
ReplyDeleteLove your blue card especially and the wonderfully asymmetrical design.
