If I look outside, I would see piles and piles of snow and fields of white...and if by chance, I would see a bright spot of red in the tree. A cardinal. They are breathtaking in my winter's snowy backyard.
I received
Hero Art's Layering Cardinal Stamp and
Die Set as a Christmas Gift and decided that
A Blog Named Hero's New To Me Challenge was the perfect reason to get it inky. It is a beautiful set! I paired it with some patterned paper and a sentiment from
Right at Home's Script Greeting Stamp Set.
I love cardinals! I'm always happy to see one pop up when I'm outside in the trees taking care of the cats. This guy is as handsome as they come. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pop of red from the bird and the black chevron strip are so eye catching, love this design! My daughter got a bird feeder for Christmas and we've been graced with the appearance of a beautiful, bright cardinal on occasion lately!
ReplyDeleteWay to rock the Cardinal Karen! This is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful. I love the colors for the cardinal. I think if blues were used could pass for a steller jay which we have a lot of. I love this card and the strips.. Awesome
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this. The cardinal is so beautiful. We've had a couple in our backyard. They are stunning.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Karen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card.
ReplyDeleteAn eyecatcher - crisp, clear and amazing colors, Karen.
ReplyDeleteKaren, beautiful card! The cardinal is so bright and clear against the white and black! Love the layout. Thanks for joining ABNH!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Karen, the cardinal looks so majestic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card, Karen! That cardinal just pops right off the card and I LOVE the touch of chevron along the edge! Absolutely wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing along with us over at A Blog Named Hero! :)
Beautiful work, Karen!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have cardinals here that I know of- but your imagery & this beautiful creation makes me wish we did...
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful! I know this was a long time ago but what are the red colors you used? I love those reds for the layering Cardinal.
