For a reason not known to me, both my teenage sons have requested a house plant for their rooms. One chose a cactus and the other an ivy. Crossing my fingers that they can take care of these easy plants and keep them alive!
I appreciate the versatility of the stamp collection offered at Catherine Pooler Designs. There are bold, graphic stamps, and delicate stamps like the plants in Warm Welcome that are perfect for coloring! For this card that I created for the office to welcome my new supervisor (before the pandemic!), I started with a cool stenciled background using the Mod Square Stencil (currently sold out- but there are many, many other stencils that would have the same effect!) I think it mimics wallpaper. I used the beautiful, soft Hot Tub Ink. Right over the background, I stamped two images from Warm Welcome and colored the plants with Copics. I then used the Welcome Word Die for a sentiment.
I think it would be fun to get creative with stencils to create any style of "wallpaper" I want! I also did the ink direct to paper technique to create my own colored cardstock card base.
