Waiting For You To Come Home

 

Someone very special to me worked really hard to get where she is at, and to celebrate her latest accomplishment she rewarded her family with a new dog, a golden retriever! I had to celebrate both occasions so I created this interactive card for her.

My card started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. From the front of the card, I die cut the shutters with the Outside Your Window Dies, then stamped the shutters with Icing on the Cake Ink and the Outside Your Window Stamp Set. This created a super cute window interactive element. On the back side of the front card, I adhered a die cut window frame made with the Window Sill Dies, covered in Seafoam Ink. I then stamped and colored one of the pups from Peeking Pets onto a card panel (colored to look like a golden retriever, using Sauna Ink), which was adhered to the inside of the front panel.

To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from the retired Congratulations Sentiment Stamp Set in Seafoam Ink and then adhered strips of white paper to the card front to mimic siding of a house.

It's so fun to combine stamp sets and dies from Catherine Pooler Designs, and especially fun to come up with new ways to peek pets out of of!
