Catherine Pooler Designs:: April Showers Bring Release

April showers bring fun and cute stamps! This month's theme with the newest release from Catherine Pooler Designs is all about the weather...sunny mornings and cloudy afternoons. The April Showers Bring collection will be releasing Wednesday, April 14th at 9am EST (early ordering for StampNation Members-Tuesday the 13th!)

I have some cute and fun cards to share for this release, how cute is this cuddly bear with his teeny tiny umbrella?! You can't help but smile, right?

As usual, my card today started with a Ultra Smooth White Cardstock base, I stamped some abstract rain drops int he background from the Puddle Play Stamp Set in Suede Shoes, Something Borrowed, All that Jazz, Fiesta Blue, Aquatini, Cummerbund and It's a Boy Inks. I then inked up the solid cloud from April Showers Stamp Set, die cut it with the corresponding April Showers Dies and heat embossed some Halo Embossing Glitter over the top and adhered onto the card. Another layer was the super cute bear stamped with the Puddle Play Stamp Set in Icing on the Cake, die cut with Puddle Play Dies and colored selectively with Copic Markers.

I added an orange strip of  paper to ground the bear and finished with a sentiment from the Puddle Play Stamp Set in Suede Shoes. I really like how this cute bear can bring a smile!

Not every day can be a sunny day but the April Showers Bundle reminds us we can "weather it together"!
