I am still working on my classes for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. I recently finished the Beautiful Details course, and wow, I learned so much from Marika! I even pulled out my Zig Markers, I love the push that these classes have to have you look at supplies in a new light. I also do not often reach for solid stamps, but this class also showcased a technique to reinvent how to stamp with them!
To create this card, I applied various colors from the Zig Markers to the flower and leaf images from the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set. I absolutely adore the brush stroke appearance that creates the petals. Marika taught this technique in the class and it is absolutely brilliant and one I will be using in the future with other solid stamps.
After I stamped the flowers, I hand drew/doodled stems with a fine tip black marker. I also added a thin strip of black cardstock on the bottom of the card base, another signature from Marika. I finished the card with a stamped sentiment in black from Paint A Flower: Carnations.
The end result was a one layer card with a light and airy feeling. I just adore it and I hope you do too! This class was one of my favorites of my Level 2 journey on the Altenew Educator Certification Program.
