A Twist on a Color Combo

I was inspired by a color combination that Catherine Pooler is sharing over at StampNation! She was inspired by the the Starbucks Holiday cups this year.

I was determined to up the ante for myself and create a non-Christmas card. I'm no so sure I was successful, as this card is a bit busy to my liking, but it was still so much fun!

 I chose to base my card around the Doxie Birthday Stamp Set and Doxie Birthday Dies and created a children's birthday card. On the top portion of the card in Sweet Sixteen, I stamped Doin' The Polka Background and on the bottom I stamped the Painted Stripe Background in Garden Party. I then added a heat embossed sentiment strip from Doxie Birthday to separate the two. Then I stamped and die cut the pup and accessories in the following colors: Rockin' Red, Do-Si-Do and Deck the Halls . I did add in a neutral of Midnight Ink as well.
