Abstract Sympathy

Like many others, my heart is heavy. Sometimes it doesn't feel right to make cards, or post a creation, but I have found solace in crafting, a little getaway for my mind. I pray for peace.

These cards were requested from a co-worker. I started with Ultra Smooth White Cardstock panels, onto which I stamped a few patterns from the Bold Bits & Patterns Stamp Set. I used Tranquil, Serenity and Cove Blue.

Onto the large pattern, I silver heat embossed one of the large leaves from the Natural Flourishes Stamp Set. For a bit of interest, I swiped some water on the leaves to lighten the base color a bit. I then added a sentiment from the Faithful Flutterings Stamp Set in Juniper Mist ink. The panels were then mounted onto a blue/purple cardstock base.
