Catherine Pooler Designs has showcased all the items from her next collection, Celebrate Spring. This collection has a really beautiful bundle, the Magnificent Mom Bundle, which is what I was lucky enough to create with. The entire collection is available to StampNation members on today and ordering to the general public goes live tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9th at 9am EST.

My mixed media textured card was so easy to create with the Coming up Roses Background Stamp as the pattern has bold lines and larger images. Onto a panel of watercolor paper, I laid down areas of texture medium (similiar to this) that had been colored with Samba, Be Mine and Tiara inks. I pressed the Coming up Roses Background Stamp onto the texture and pulled up carefully. The result was a negative image of the background stamp and with such lovely texture.

After the panel dried, I cut a portion out of the lower two-thirds and adhered each panel onto an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock base. In Samba, I stamped a sentiment from Mothers & Daughters Sentiment Stamp Set as well as a few images from the Fresh Picked Florals Stamp Set that had been die cut with the Fresh Picked Florals Dies.

The texture created with some mixed medium and the Coming up Roses really make for a beautiful background!
