I had the great pleasure to play with some products from the Color Block Backgrounds Collection from Spellbinders! Oh the possibilities are endless with these dies that create amazing backgrounds.
My card today features the Color Block Southwest Etched Die. This die easily cuts pieces to that create a unique, southwest design. I die cut a white cardstock panel with the Color Block Southwest Etched Dies and then ink blended each piece with ink for a soft look. I went a step further and distressed the edges of each piece with light gray ink and then added water splatters as well.
Since the pattern is bold, it was easy to assemble the die cut pieces onto a card front. I finished the card with a layered greeting die cut from the Die D-Lites Bold Hello Etched Dies, also from Spellbinders.
I really enjoy the end result of this card, it reminds me of a worn, well-loved blanket!
