In the Limelight at 30
I think I've figured it out. Being in your thirties is all about meeting and exceeding your dreams that most of us had when we were five. My dreams were all about being married to the most handsome man, have a little one running at my feet while pushing another in a stroller, all the while eating bon bons in my two story house with a huge smile on my face. (Well, three out of the five isn't bad for me!)
I'm not quite sure of the fairytale dreams you had when you were little, Mandy, but here's to hoping that you've met and exceeded them! Happy Birthday! I hope that your day is full of relaxation and fun!
Hop on over to Lisa's blog next and JenMarie and Lynn have some to share as well!
A little bit about the card: I love (and love and love some more) the colors over at Off the Wall Craftiness and wanted to also incorporate offset scallops for Moxie Fab World's Offset Scallop Gallop Contest. I got a little help from the Mojo Monday Sketch (rotated 180 degrees) and the idea to use alternative shapes for the scallops from Courtney's card in Paper Craft's Holiday Cards and More, available from Paper Crafts Magazine.

Caterpillar & Butterfly Birthdays

Someone else in this crafty world must have paired this image and sentiment together, but I've got to tell you, I haven't seen it yet so I thought I was a clever little one when I created this card! Does that ever happy to you? I used the current Mojo Monday sketch and kept it pretty clean and simple. Also pulled out the Crimper Tool (gasp!) which hasn't seen light in months-I thought it replicated the little fuzzies on the caterpillar/inchworm/bug image.

This next card is for the ladies featuring a variety of dry embossing, and using colors from the latest challenge at Color Throwdown. The butterflies are sponged with their respective colors and stitched to the card. My mini Janome must have had some thread issues, but I love the textured results. The green grass/borders have been sanded lightly.
Both these cards are for the birthday portion of Moxie Fab's Olympics of Stamping.
**If you've made it this far, this is my second post for today and I invite you to scroll down to look at my little monster card.**

The Sewn Butterfly

Sew. Sewing. Sewn. I did a lot of that on this card. And all who sew, please disregard the little (or big) imperfections that makes this card have charm. It was so much fun to attempt to sew straight lines and in circles for this card, which is for two challenges (Just Us Girls-Add Stitching and the Mojo Monday Sketch). After all the sewing, I didn't really have room for a sentiment which is fine with me because I could add one on the inside of the card for whatever occasion that I need it for. I really sort of like the quarkiness and complexity of this card.
Supplies Used: CTMH DSP, SU Big Shot Dies (Butterfly and Scallop Circle), SU Satin Ribbon, Fiskars Scallop Edge Punch, CM Circle Punch, Thread

Toilet Paper Ruffles

Yep, toilet paper ruffles! Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenged their readers to use toilet paper on a card so continuing with my Baby Card Thanks collection I thought that a baby in a diaper made out of toilet paper would be a cute way to use TP, and to soften the card a bit more I made a ruffle out of it as well. This card uses the Cupcake Inkadinkadoo Clear Stamp set, Heidi Grace Thank You set, DCWV designer paper and some random solid cardstock. This is also my entry for the Mojo Monday Challenge. Thought I'd show a close up of the ruffle (and the diaper), for some reason I'm really proud of it!
I'd love to know what you think!
Edited to add: sorry everyone for the incorrect link, I corrected my error and I hope that you were able to find this post again!
