Bright Flowers

I just couldn't resist the bright, happy colors offered in the January Altenew Inspiration Challenge, as it has been so dreary and cold her in Wisconsin.

I started by stamping and white heat embossing flowers from Garden Treasure, then colored them in with PrismaColor Colored Pencils. To finish, I added a few select pink Nuvo Drops as embellishments.

Rows of Frosting

There is this really cool class going on over at StampNation called Birthday Card Stash-DONE. It's all about working ahead to plan and finish your birthday cards for the year.

I created this one layer card featuring one of the border stamps from The World Aways Stamp Set from the Love is in the Air Stamp of Approval Collection and various Catherine Pooler Inks in a rainbow of colors (affiliate links used). I finished the card with a fun, sassy sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays called Shenanigans, and tied the card off with some black embroidery floss.

Sympathy Peony

Ellen Hutson is mixing it up with Concord & 9th for the Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge. Ooh, two of my favorite companies to work with!

I started by stamping the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp onto white cardstock, focusing more ink on the edges of the card. Then, I stamped and heat embossed the beautiful peony and leaves from Ellen Hutson's Mondo Peony. I colored them with distress ink and zigs, and adhered it to the cardstock base. I finished with a sentiment from Brushed Blossom. (affiliate links used)

And to top the card off, I stamped some dots and added some Nuvo Drops.

LID:: January 2018 Release:: Day 3

Welcome to the last day of the Lil' Inker Designs January 2018 Release Showcase...hasn't this hop been fabulous?! It is going to be one fantastic year for LID! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jessica's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

I'm back again today with this Valentine's Day release featuring the products in an everyday way! I just adore this cute Galentine's Day Stamp Set and the fun images and sentiments it includes. I started this card with a white card base, and then chose some fun card stock panels for a background. This color block design was easily made using the previously released Color Block Die and Stitched Mats: Rectangles. I then stamped and paper pieced the fun purse/tote from Galentine's Day Stamp Set with the coordinating cardstock colors. I tucked this onto a die cut sentiment from the Thanks Word Die and finished with a stamped sentiment from Galentine's Day Stamp Set.

I always like to see how fabulous products can be used in more ways, other than its intended general use. Take, for instance, the Forever Heart Die Layer I. For this card, I turned it on its side and die cut out of green paper, layering over light yellow cardstock for a chicken scratch path. I stamped and colored the cute hens and chicks from the new Farm Love Stamp Set and die cut them out with the coordinating Farm Love Die Set. I then added a sentiment strip, stamped and heat embossed withe the perfect handwritten font included in Farm Love.

Here's a look at the new release products showcased in my two projects today:

Stamp of Approval Love is in the Air Release

Oh my goodness, I'm back with a card to help remind you that the Love is in the Air Stamp of Approval Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs was released to StampNation members last night, and the Wait List this morning. If there are any available collections left, they are available right now! Hurry up and order here!

I started the card by die cutting a white panel from Catherine Pooler Ultra Smooth White Cardstock with the Postage Stamp Dies. (I love the stitched rectangles in this die set!) I stamped a "grass" border and some flowers from The World Awaits Stamp Set in Midnight Ink. I drew stems with a marker, and then stamped the grass and flowers with backs of the stamps from The World Awaits in various, amazing Catherine Pooler Ink colors. I then die cut the Love Die in Midnight Cardstock three times and adhered them together, and then onto the card. I finished the card with some Nuvo Droops in the center of each flower.

I hope you had a chance to order the Love is in the Air Stamp of Approval Collection!

LID:: January 2018 Release:: Day 2

Welcome to the second day of the Lil' Inker Designs January 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies... it is going to be one fantastic year for LID! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jessica's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

I've got a fun shaker for my first card today, as it seems that the Love is Love Word Die was made for shakers! To make this card, I started by die cutting two rectangles with Stitched Mats: Rectangles from white card stock. From on of the panels, I die cut the Love is Love Word Die. I die cut various shades of pink card stock with the accessories dies included in the Love is Love Word Die, added some sequins to this mix and assembled the shaker and adhered it onto a hot pink card base. I finished the card with a lovely sentiment from the new stamp set, Love is Love Stamp Set.

My next project features the innovative cover-up dies, Forever Heart Die Layer I and Forever Heart Die Layer II along with Quilted Stitched XOXO Die for a pretty in pink Valentine, Wedding or Anniversary Card. I started by embossing a pink cardstock panel with the Stitched XOXO cover plate, this was adhered to a white card base. I then took a white card panel and embossed the heart shaped stitching and boarder using the Forever Heart Die Layer II. I carefully traced the heart with a border and cut out a heart, to let the XOXOs sneak out from behind. I finished the card with a foam sentiment die cut from the word die included in Forever Heart Die Layer Ihttps://www.lilinkerdesigns.com/forever-heart-die-layer-i/#_a_kbaker

LID:: January 2018 Release:: Day 1

Today is the first of three days of the Lil' Inker Designs January 2018 Release Showcase... Once again, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring new stamps and dies... it is going to be one fantastic year for LID! If you are following the hop, you should have arrived from the ever so talented Jessica's Blog! (Visit the Lil' Inker Design's Blog for the full link up.)

My first project features the the super elegant Love and Honey Stamp Set and coordinating Love and Honey Hearts Dies. I wanted to showcase how this set can be used outside of Valentine's Day, so I created a wedding or anniversary card! Just think how it can be customized to the color of the recipient's wedding colors!

I started by stamping the large heart image onto a colored card base with coordinating ink, then the large heart/flower image onto white paper and heat embossed with silver. I colored with Zigs and splattered some light paint across the image. I then used the die cuts to cut the image out, adhering it with dimensional adhesive onto the card base. I finished the card with a previously released word die, Doodled Love Word Die.

For this next card, I wanted to showcase a tried and true Valentine's, but a masculine version! You'll see no pink or red on this one either, but the design can be easily changed up to use those colors and it would be so pretty! I die cut a circle out of kraft and back mat out of cardstock. Before adhering them to a white card base, I die cut the gorgeous Love You More Than Words Script Heart Die from the kraft. I covered the circle with a thin layer of Nuvo Pearlescent Mouse, and adhered the die cut back into the kraft circle.
