Someone who thinks you are very dear,
has "BOO"ed you with Halloween cheer.
Now take this note & make a copy or two,
add fun & treats, and goodies will do.
Leave it on their stoop & make it quick,
keep your "Boo"ing a secret, that's the trick.
~H. Timmins
Such a cute little saying... My boys will get a kick out of it this year. I totally simplified the Skipping Stones Design Sketch and it is flipped 180 degrees. I took a cue from one of the Guest Designers this month, the ever so talented and always inspiring Cristina, and replaced scored lines for some of the panels from the sketch. The ghost was made using the same tips and tricks from this post.
Please check out the other gals' blogs over at Skipping Stones Design. I happen to know for a fact that they are all fun and perfect for Halloween! Happy Halloweenie just so happens to be the set of the month-in time for you to pick it up and create some "Boo"ed projects too! {The poem at the beginning of this post is a stamp from the set!}

I love the idea to use score lines instead of an extra panel...and my boys LOVE when we get boo'd!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lynn - what a fabulous idea - scoring lines are the best way to do away with layers aren't they?! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your ghost too - he's kind of cute!
Such a fun card Karen!! Love the look of the scoring!

ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love the motion implied by the lines scored on the diagonal, and the transparent ghost is fantastic!

ReplyDeleteGirl, you are so clever, looove this card! The yellow combined with the ghost and LO makes for one spoooooky card!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, the card is adorable! Our neighbors boo-ed us last year and the boys went BA-NA-NAS over it trying to guess who did it and looked for the "boo-ed" sign on other houses.
ReplyDeleteGot my surprise happy mail today! Thank you so much for the Acetate. Really gonna "save" is for a fun challenge to try! The bling is GORGEOUS and the BG stamps are GREAT! My heart set is SU up and about 10+ yrs old so an updated set is GREATLY needed and appreciated. I can make some cute things for my boys and my preschoolers at church. Gonna make some "sour cream" treat containers for various holidays. So VERY KIND of you to send those to me! (:
