It's the anticipation of waiting almost a full year that gets her all the time. Pulling out the CDs from the red and green bins, deliberating which artist and which track to play first, but it is always the same. Then she's happy, she begins the joy of listening to the sweet songs of the holiday season.
We've got a great month of sketches for the November sketch challenges at Skipping Stones Designs and today marks the debut of our sketch artist Chan Vuong and guest designers Jimmi Mayo, Betsy Veldman and Jessica Griffin. Skipping Stones Designs is also teaming up with the really cool company, Creative Impressions for this month!
I pulled out some of last year's Christmas paper for a stunning and bold background for my ornaments. The images are a mix of musical notes from Heartsong and the beautiful sentiment from the newly released Christmas Song.
I can't wait for you to show me how easy this sketch is by making a fabulous card and linking it up to the Skipping Stones Design blog! While you are there, please check out the great samples from the design team as well.
Oh, and to those of you reading that might be curious...the album I always play first is the James Taylor A Christmas Album...Highly recommend, especially the song "Baby It's Cold Outside"!)

ReplyDeleteOh the oldies are the goodies aren't they!! My Christmas music ranges from Classic Carols to that annoyingly overplayed classic by Wizard!! so it depends what mood I'm in at the time :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is so vintage in a CAS way...how do you do it? Love how you used the metal D ring too.
