Housekeeping
I do say that my creativity has taken a deep nosedive and I'm trying to stay afloat as best as I can! Please excuse the lack of posts lately and thank you for sticking with me! Here's hoping that I can make it up soon, I've got a lot of things cookin' and just need the time to put them properly on paper.
A bit of housekeeping:
1. I have what I think is a really fun mini tutorial up on the May Arts Blog today. If you are inclined to take a peek and let me know what you think over there, I'd appreciate it! (Then, perhaps, let me know how long you spend on the store's website searching, like I do! hah!)
2. I had the luxury of being featured over on the Lily Pad Challenge Blog yesterday! I've got two brand new cards up there made especially for the Guest Design feature if you'd like to take a peek. I encourage you to read the information on the bottom of the post as to how you too, can sign up to be featured. I had a great time answering the questions. Thank you to the ladies of Lily Pad for featuring me!
3. And...please let me introduce to you the fabulous shelves my husband built for me! I have long been a fan of vintage/antique/country decorating, especially using cranberry crates and finally this dream has come together. (A third crate was deconstructed to for the shelves.) The shelves are narrow enough to see all my May Arts Ribbon and make for an easy grab of each spool. I love the stories behind the weathered wood, and I love the texture too! Plus, it was extremely within my inexpensive budget!

What fab shelves! How do you keep your open spools (you know how they start unraveling) and your ribbon by the yard? It's always an issue for me, and I'd be curious to know what you do.

ReplyDeleteYour creativity is awesome and could never take a nose dive! Remember craft for YOU!!! Not anyone else or anything else!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have not posted a lot lately due to illness working on commissioned jobs etc. I miss crafting just to craft, but there are only so many hours in the day! Remember to always have fun and don't let anything get you down...you are in control of your outlook...I have to remind myself this all the time. It's been a long tough lesson and mostly since I started blogging. I made my crafty new year resolution as new year new outlook.
Know Karen you always inspire, but I am hoping it's not pressure that has caused your lack of mojo. You are awesome, but you have do what is best for you not because people expect a post from you!
Sorry for the wordy comment...I just felt a sense of being down a little.
Awesometastic on being featured at Lilypad cards!
