My son celebrated his first communion last month and was very thankful for the presents he received. I thought it was funny though, that most of the cards he received where the same. Must not have been a big selection there in the store for this type of celebration. There's just something to be said about hand made cards. As a stamp illustrator, I set out to remedy that solution...

I love the effect you got with the spray an the cross. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about certain subjects being hard to find stamps for! Love the fonts on your 2 examples, and can't wait to see the full reveal of your set! Congratulations, Karen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the misting on the first one, and does the set come with a die or did you just mask the cross before you spritzed?
ReplyDeleteHoly gorgeousness :) Seriously...you know that I'll be using this set a ton! I love the beautiful flourishes that go perfectly with the sentiments.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your cards!! They would both be PERFECT for those SPECIAL Moments!! THANKS for sharing and I REALLY Enjoyed working with your set this month!! Have a FABULOUS SUNDAY!! =)
ReplyDeleteOoooo...so beautiful! You're right that there aren't a lot of stamps for non-religious events other than sympathy and Christmas. That's great that you made some sets for other occasions! I love the scroll work on the second card--it's stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous set, Karen! I love the scrolls and the simple cross, and I can't wait to see all the sentiments on it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your son on his first communion!
Karen this is beautiful. The frame looks so dainty but the lines are strong enough that it stands perfectly on its own. Gorgeous creation! You're right about poor selection for spritiual/religious cards at stores. Until I made my own cards, all options were so sterile and impersonal. I think you've remedied that very well my friend! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are wonderful Karen. The aged look on the first is so pretty and the second is so pretty in the soft cream/beige colors you used. This stamp set is great to have around for those special occasions.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Karen- looks like a great set! Beautiful cards from it! I especially like the 2nd- the browns, ribbon, scroll, pearls... gorgeous while still masculine enough for a boy/young man.
ReplyDeleteWow! I think you have got the perfect sentiments to mark all the important milestones in life! Well-done, Karen! I can't wait to see the full reveal! You have something SUPER awesome going here! Congrats! And happy Father's Day to you and family!
