Ellie

My cousin has a little girl that is full of just plain cuteness. She's petite and has these big brown eyes. She's shy but once opens up has s spunk that can never be forgotten. I just love it when I see a stamp for the first time and an image pops into my head that I can relate too!

The Craft's Meow

Mabelle R-O is making her debut with The Craft's Meow with two sets this month, the first being called Sweet Taste of Summer.  Striving for a coloring book style, I inked up the little girl, whom I'm calling Ellie today, in black ink onto white paper and fussy cut her out and placed her onto strips of patterned paper, some of which were die cut with various banner shapes. I added a bit of interest by paper piecing a few choice pieces in her ensemble. (I'm linking this card up to the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-Let's Strip and Moxie Fab World's Stamp It! Cards Week: The Birthday Card Challenge.)

Amy Wanford has a really cute set this month too for The Craft's Meow July release, One Scoop or Two. For this card I did some selective paper piecing for the ice cream cone and added the cone to a vellum envelope that had been attached to a patterned paper and card stock base. The sentiment from this set is stuck inside the banner from Vintage Rides, a previously released The Craft's Meow set. (Love how these sets work so well together!) I think it makes for a cute gift card or money holder, and unexpected twist to an everyday thank you card. (I'm entering this is Moxie Fab World's Stamp It!: Thank You Challenge.)
