Catherine Pooler Designs:: Jolly Holiday Release!

Today is the day that Jolly Holiday Collection is available now from Catherine Pooler Designs! This collection is a whimsical celebration of classic Christmas icons. There are images of elves and candy (clearly what the North Pole is made of), whooville trees and stockings and all the stuffers. As always, there are a few bundles to choose from too. 

The card I am showcasing today is a bit more elegant than the previous cards I made with the release, and features items from the Caroling Bundle. I started with a nice, smooth base made with Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, as well as a panel that I applied Deck the Halls Ink by ink blending, heavier on the edges and lighter on the interior for a background. I splattered some white paint and then stamped some of the pretty snowflake images from the Caroling Sentiments Stamp Set. I die cut the ornament image from Caroling Sentiments Die Cuts. I partial die cut two more ornaments until the edge of the ornament topper, then finished the ornament shape a couple circles from Circle Dies to create two different sizes of ornaments.

I stamped in Twilight Ink each of the ornament toppers. I stamped sentiment from Caroling Sentiments in Suede Shoes on the larges ornament, and snowflakes in Deck the Halls and Cranberry Fizz on the other ornaments. I lightly ink blended the edges of each ornament as well. Each ornament was then covered in Wanderlust Embossing Powder and adhered to the background. I finished by drawing some lines to hang the ornaments.
