AECP:: CAS Boutiuque

I'm back today with another card for the Altenew Educator Certification Program, this entry is for the Clean & Simple Boutique Cards online card class.

Clean and simple cards are my favorite to make, this class reiterated that details matter and offered many tips and tricks to make a simple card shine. The class also gave me a purpose to pull out some foil that I've had in my stash for over five years as well! 

I started this card by stamping one of the solid layered images from the Majestic Bloom Bloom Stamp Set in a Desert Night ink, making sure I used the "rule of three" discussed in the class as well as making sure that only one of the images were stamped in full. I then stamped the leaves from Majestic Bloom in watermark ink, then added some bonding powder, heat setting and then foiling in a gold/rose gold foil. This was my first real attempt at foiling! There are some imperfections, but as the class mentioned, I love the detail and special touch that foiling adds. (Although it is super tough to photograph!)

I finished the card by mounting the foiled panel onto a white card base, stamping a sentiment from the Painted Greetings Stamp Set and then adhering some navy blue enamel dots. 

The class offered many great tips on how to really make details, arrangements, color and embellishments can really make a clean and simple card shine. I have more cards to share that I've done for additional classes for Level One of the Altenew Educator Certification Program.
