Catherine Pooler Designs:: Creative Thinking

The upcoming release from Catherine Pooler Designs celebrates the creative process. The Creative Thinking Release is full of main image stamps that celebrate each stage of the process from the light bulb moment, to the time spent at your desktop and then to your final masterpiece." The release will be available Wednesday, June 9th for general release and Tuesday, June 8th for Stamp Nation Members. I have a few cards to share for this release made with the Bright Idea Bundle. How clever of the Catherine Pooler Designs team to think of stamps/products for the beginning of the creative process. This stamp set, Bright Days, features so many fun and cute lightbulbs with perfect sayings.

My card is pretty clean and simple, one of my favorite kind to make. I love, though, how little details can really make a card! I stamped the lightbulbs and wires from  Bright Days in Midnight Ink onto a card base from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, then in a variety of Catherine Pooler inks, used the backside of each cooresponding lightbulb to "color" the lightbulb in. Yellows used were Limoncello, Chiffon, Tiki Torch, Sauna, Tiara and Catching Rays. I added a sentiment, also from the Bright Days.

I finished the card with a strip of Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper, and painted the light switches with silver paint, as well as some light rays from Bright Days. Then, I colored each bulb with some clear shimmer paint for added sparkle and shine and added a white gel pen highlight.
