Rounding out the Beach Retreat Inks

Yesterday, Catherine Pooler Designs revealed the final two new ink colors being released as part of the Beach Retreat Collection. The four inks are part of the Spa Collection and are dreamy. I'm a day late showcasing the cards I created featuring Merlot and Clay Mask, but better late than never! The inks will be available Wednesday, July 14th for general release and Tuesday, July 13th for Stamp Nation Members.

Merlot is a deep, deep berry color...a perfect replica to the wine! I can see myself using Merlot instead of black, when I want a unique look. It is deeper and has a more brown hue than Cranberry Fizz and Peppermint Scrub, and deeper and darker than Sangria. When paired with Juniper Mist and some browns, it would make for an awesome masculine card! For today's card, I used the Leave Me in Paradise Stamp Set and created a border with the leaves. Other colors used are listed in the image above. I rounded out the card with a stamped sentiment from Happy Birthday Many Ways.

My second card features the amazing ink called Clay Mask. This peachy orange color will pair so nicely with the other spa colors, so glad that Catherine decided to fill the orange gap with Clay Mask! I used the Veggies Please Stamp Set and Dies to create a cute lil' above ground/below ground carrot scene to showcase the range of orange inks compared to the new Clay Mask. You can see the colors on the graphic below.

The theme reveal for this release will be announced shortly by Catherine, and she'll have some sneak peek of products too! The four new ink colors are just the start of the fantastic upcoming release!
