Moving Clouds Interactive Shadow Box Card

Jennifer McGuire is a pure genius. I enjoy watching her videos on a weekend morning, with a cup of coffee in hand, before my boys wake up. I recently viewed her Easy Shadow Box Cards: No Speciality Dies Needed, and had to try it with the April Showers Stamp Set and coordinating April Showers Dies from Catherine Pooler Designs April Showers Bring collection.

I followed the simple directions and scored tow panels of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock to create an A2 card. I die cut a circle from the front panel, bordering it with a smaller circle die cut panel. On the back panel, I stenciled Hot Tub Ink over the Bear Grass Stencil-which I thought looked like rain! I then added a sun from the  Sunburst Die covered in Sauna and a cloud from the April Showers Stamp Set and coordinating April Showers Dies. I added a cloud underneath the front of the front card panel as well.

The next step in the tutorial was to add the sliding element, so I adhered an acetate strip between two die cut clouds and then affixed the two panels together. The inks for the clouds were Skylight and Daydream. The last step was stamping a sentiment from Abundantly Blessed in Hot Tub and  Skylight. When you pull and squeeze the card together, the cloud moves in the left side of the circle to the right side, in front of the sun. 

This sure was a fun card to make, and definitely different then what I usually make. The greeting will be on the back of the card, as Jennifer mentions that she does as well. I've never made a card like this in all the years I've stamped!
