Happy Thoughts

Sometimes he really gets into it...
Him: Why are you making a cloud with words in it?
Me: Because it isn't a cloud, it is a thought bubble.
Him: What?
Me: A thought bubble. You know, sending you happy thoughts.
Him: What? It looks like a cloud, and clouds don't talk. Nor are they happy.
Me: Because it isn't a cloud, it's a thought bubble.
Him: No, it's a cloud. Let me go ask the boys what they think it is.
So he takes the card, goes up to the youngest and I hear this...
Him: Do you see this cloud with words in it? What does it look like to you?
Youngest: A cloud.
So he then takes the card to the oldest and I hear this...
Him: You know what a cloud looks like right? All puffy and circular? What does this look like?
Oldest: A cloud.

I'll hand it to him, this stamp could be a cloud which I will save making for a rainy day, but today it is a thought bubble and the card is sending some happy thoughts. The very clean and simple card is based off the current sketch at Denami Designs, and the thought bubble is one of their inventive stamps.

  4. I got an idea, as my youngest would say? How about it's a cloud AND it's a thought bubble? :) and it's good that he takes it seriously, lol.

  7. It's hard to be out numbered by boys sometimes... my list of other examples is long and probably not appropriate for a blog comment. Love the bit of color with all the white. Cloud, thought bubble... you're still getting crafty and making fun cards.

  8. Happy, happy, happy! That's how this card makes me feel and surely it can be both a cloud and a thought bubble (double the value of your stamp *wink*)

  9. This made me laugh, mostly because I thought of the running joke with my hubby. Every time I make a card with white space, he tells me it needs something, like a puffy white cloud.

Love your thought bubble! And I'm pretty sure my hubby would approve too, even though he'd say it was a cloud.

  10. LOL, your husband is too funny! You should've asked him to make a card using that stamp as a cloud!! I think my son would think it's a cloud, too, but he doesn't know about thought bubbles yet. This is just too cute. All that tape just makes me HAPPY!

  14. Wow this made me laugh out loud (whist reading it secretly at work!!)
I have similar problems at home with lots of 'helpful' advice and comments. I was making a layout yesterday with some lovely areas of white space (which you know is hard for me to begin with) when Munchy pops in "you should put a rainbow in there" She's totally rainbow obsessed at the moment! Needless to say, now my layout has a rainbow...... and I love it!
Sometimes the suggestions are good and sometimes not so much hey?
