Petie's Pal


Petie went almost everywhere with my oldest when he was two. Petie went almost everywhere with my youngest when he was two. Petie was, er, is very well loved (and oh so dirty). I might have talked about Petie before on here, I can't quite remember. Petie is a doll that both my boys love(d).



Wee Memories and The Lawnscaping Challenge have teamed up to showcase cute and cuddly creations. I started by adhering some soft baby yarn around a square block and topped it off with a pup that has a slightly distressed and well worn look to him. The square background reminds me of a chenille blanklie (as my boys affectionately call their blankets).The layout is from March's sketch at Artful Delight.

    That yarn looks so soft & cuddly! What an awesome idea! It totally reminds me of a blankie! I love the layout too. Great use of a scrap layout for a card. :)

    This instantly made me think of Patches - a stuffed dog who was my constant companion for most of my youth! You've perfectly captured that worn, warm, fuzzy feeling. :)

    If this isn't the essence of cute and cuddly, I don't know what is. Love your story about your boys and Petie, and I love how you incorporated that cozy feeling into your card with the baby yarn. Such a sweet story and card!

    WOW, Karen this card is adorable. It makes me want to cuddle up with one of the many cuddlie blankets my mom made for me. Well for my kids and there is one in particular that I claimed as my own. Fabulous card. Thank you for playing along with Artful Delight.

    I literally said "Awwww" when I saw this card. So CUTE! The yarn looks exactly like a baby blanket (I thought it was), and I love the slight distressing for a well-loved look.
