The Ribbon Resource:: Christmas Gift Wrap Hop

The Ribbonistas from The Ribbon Resource, the May Arts Ribbon Retail Store, are hopping every Friday until Christmas to give you inspiration and chances to win some fabulous May Arts ribbon!

Today we are showcasing Christmas Gift Wrap!

I like to make homeade goodies for the holidays to give as gifts. I've learned to save plastic fruit containers throughout the year as an inexpensive alternative to the typical "Christmas Tin".
I packaged up some sliced banana bread in one of the containers (using a coffee filter as a liner) and then decorated them with different ribbon available at The Ribbon Resource and some holiday tags.
For the container above, I used 2" Olive Webbed Woven Ribbon and Kraft Baker's Twine.

For this gift, I wrapped the container in 2" Natural Cotton/Burlap Blend Ribbon
and tied the tag with a bow made from Kraft Baker's Twine.

I thought adding two beautiful Ivory Faux Suede Leaves finished the look off nicely.

I'm the last stop on today's hop, but here's the complete line-up.

The Ribbon Resource:: Kid's Craft Hop

The Ribbonistas from The Ribbon Resource, the May Arts Ribbon Retail Store, are hopping every Friday until Christmas to give you inspiration and chances to win some fabulous May Arts ribbon!

Today we are showcasing Crafting with Kids!

I "borrowed" my cousin's little girl to help with this project, and had a lot of fun! We used the 5/8" red, turquoise, and light pink elastic ribbon available at The Ribbon Resource to make custom, festive hair ties. We used about 7" of elastic ribbon for each tie.

These elastic hair ties are still popular and are super easy to make with children so that they feel a sense of pride when giving them as gifts to their friends. We simply chose some small stamps and inked the elastic ribbon with permanent ink. We tied the ends together and added them on a cute tag strung with Red and White Baker's Twine.

These are the Ribbonistas participating today:

LID:: December 2015 Release:: Day 3

Welcome back to the third and final day of the Lil' Inker Designs December Release! As usual, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring innovative stamps and dies, I hope you enjoyed this amazing release! You should have arrived from Jennifer Carter's Blog!

I have four cards today showcasing the Keep it Sassy Stamp Set! Why four? Well, the sentiments are fabulous and they coordinate so well with other Lil' Inker Designs products! It made for a great card pack as well.

I paired the first card (above) with a lip embossed in red from Smooches Stamp Set.

The one above I paired with a blue embossed elephant from the Party Pachyderms Stamp Set.

For this beauty I embossed the large diamond from the Girl's Best Friend Stamp Set and paired it with one of the fun sentiments from Keep it Sassy Stamps.

My last card features a red embossed heart balloon from the new So Prickly Stamp Set and a super cute, and sassy, stamp from Keep it Sassy Stamps.
Your next stop today is Lisa Henke!!

LID:: December 2015 Release:: Day 2

Welcome back to the second day of the Lil' Inker Designs December Release! As usual, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring innovative stamps and dies! You should have arrived from Chrissy Larson's Blog!

Today I'm featuring the super adorable So Prickly Stamp Set. This first card had a cactus stamped onto a white tag die cut from the Dual Dotted Tag Dies, and the sentiment is from the new Keep it Sassy Stamp Set. I then ran a strip of one of the many designer papers from the new super cute So Prickly Paper Pack onto a white card base. The cute tag was adhered to the card base with a staple and a little May Arts Silk Ribbon.

This next card also features a cute catci set from So Prickly Stamp Set as well as a sentiment from the same set. I stamped these onto a die cut made from the Dual Dotted Circles Die Set and finished the card with some strips of the cute So Prickly Paper Pack and a scalloped ribbon trim available at The Ribbon Resource.

One more card for today!

Here I backed a white card base with some papers from So Prickly Paper Pack and then created a focal tag using the previously released Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag Die Set and then a die cut from the new Boxed Up Thank You Greeting Die. I finished the card with a little fussy cutting of a potted cactus from the So Prickly Paper Pack.

Super cute, right?

LID:: December 2015 Release:: Day 1

It's the first day of the Lil' Inker Designs December Release and we have so many follow-ups to your favorites to showcase during this release! I love the new products, and I am pretty sure that you will too. As usual, we have a fabulous hop for you featuring innovative stamps and dies! You should have arrived from Maureen Merritt's Blog!

I'm showcasing so many new products with a few cards today. The first is the stamp set called Inky Flowers. So beautiful, so versatile! For the above card, I stamped many flowers in white on kraft cardstock and colored a few in with colored pencils. I then die cut the beautiful corresponding sentiment with the With Gratitude Greeting Die in white cardstock. I finished the card with May Arts Burlap.

This next card also features Inky Flowers. I first stamped some of the flowers and then outlined them with marker. I then added a background for my focal point using a mask made out of the fun Dual Dotted Oval Dies. I outlined the dots and the oval with black marker for a bit of extra pop. I finished the card with a die cut sentiment from the corresponding With Sympathy Greeting Die.

I made this card by embossing (instead of die cutting) the new Diamond Lace Cover Up Die onto blue cardstock. I then added a die cut white sentiment from the With Sympathy Greeting Die and an additional word from Inky Flowers Stamp Set. I finished the card with a stamped and die cut flower from Lil' Inker's Sketched Floral Stamp Set and corresponding Sketched Floral Die Cut.

I have one last card to feature! Here I stamped and colors some flowers from the Inky Flowers Stamp Set onto a white die cut circle from the new Dual Dotted Circles Dies. I then added a stamped sentiment from the Inky Flowers Stamp Set and then adhered this to a card base that has been covered with Lil' Inkers Dip Dyed Ombre Papers. I finished the card with a bow made from May Arts Silk Ribbon.
