Melon Zest

If there is one color of ink from Catherine Pooler Designs that is among my favorites, it is Melon Ice. It can turn "colors" depending on the other inks you pair it with. And I love how it is perfect when paired with the Fresh Squeezed Background Stamp, it is like they were meant to be together. 

Melon Ice is the true color here, stamping the Fresh Squeezed Background Stamp onto a base of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock.  I used Midnight Black ink to stamp the Zest Bouquet Stamp and die cut it to accentuate the beautiful background. I added some Apple Green Crystal Nuvo Drops to the focal imageI finished the card a sentiment made with the versatile Beautiful Word Die and Smile, Beautiful Stamp Set.

These colors are dreamy, and so perfectly paired with the the Zest Bundle from the Forever 13 Release by Catherine Pooler Designs. It is still available in the shop along with some other fabulous new goodies!

Grape Crush

Is there a color that you don't often reach for while crafting? I have one, and it is purple. However, Grape Crush, Queen for a Day, and Flirty Fuchsia inks from Catherine Pooler Designs make it easier and easier to reach for this hue! Pair that with some amazing products from the Forever 13 Release from Catherine Pooler Designs and I'm sold!

Isn't this background dreamy? I first stamped the Fresh Squeezed Background Stamp onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock in Grape Crush ink and then immediately heat embossed it with the Grape Crush color in the  Forever 13 Embossing Trio by Wow. I finished the card with a Flirty Fuchsia colored strip, a Queen for a Day sentiment made with the Beautiful Word Die and Smile, Beautiful Stamp Set.

Seriously wow! Love how the embossing powder makes that stamp shine!

You're Cool

 I'm excited to show you this clean and simple card I made using a few new items from the Notes & Doodles Bundle from the Forever 13 Release from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I had die cut a white card panel with the Spiral Notebook Border Die to use on another project and it left me with this really cool edge to a card front. I just had to showcase that! 

After making a clean fold on the Ultra Smooth White Cardstock I used a variety of inks and sentiment from the Composition Sentiments Stamp Set to create a fun and encouraging greeting arrangement. I completed the card with a few die cut, inked and raised elements from the Composition Label Dies.

I really enjoy how this card turned out and could be customized in so many ways. I think it would be a great addition to a gift card pack, too.

Beautiful Inside & Out

There are so many sweet souls out there that deserve to be recognized, especially during this trying time. Now is the time to send them a card! This card once again features a few amazing items from Catherine Pooler Designs Zest Bundle from the Forever 13 Release.

I saturated a panel of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock with Coral Cabana, Polished, Bellini, and Orange Peel inks.Then I ran the panel through the die cutting machine with the Petal Connection Cover Plate Die to create a beautiful card front. The panel was adhered to a card base and then I finished the card with a sentiment from the Beautiful Word Die and a panel stamped with the Smile, Beautiful Stamp Set.

There are multiple ways to use the Beautiful Word Die, I like the versatility. Here I've used the reverse and saved the intricate "innards" for another card.

The time is here, the he Forever 13 Release from Catherine Pooler Designs is here and available now! Today I have a card featuring some basics available from the release.

I saw a recent post on the Ellen Hutson Blog regarding basic shape dies. I was instantly inspired to create a rainbow from Catherine Pooler Designs Nested Oval Dies.

I embossed the card front of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock with the new Petal Connections Cover Plate Die for a nice, soft texture to resemble some clouds. I die cut the Nested Oval Die and colored each link of the rainbow in ink, distressing with some water.

Onto a sentiment strip, I stamped in Twilight Ink a sentiment from Composition Sentiments Stamp Set and added a few stars die cut from Composition Label Dies.

Forever 13 Release

The time is here, the he Forever 13 Release from Catherine Pooler Designs is here and available now! All the bundles from this release are fabulous, but I really had so much fun with the Zest Bundle.

Today's card starts once again with a base from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. Onto it, I ink blended a soft background of Orange Peel Ink and Limencello Ink. I made a stencil out of the Petal Connection Cover Plate and applied some more Orange Peel Ink to make the nice, soft pattern. I stamped the beautiful Zest Bouquet Stamp Set in Mandarin Spice Ink.

I finished the card by adding some details with a black and white pen, stamping a sentiment from Zest Bouquet Stamp Set and a strip of Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper.

The Zest Bundle

Beautiful indeed!
The entire Zest Bundle from the Forever 13 Release from Catherine Pooler Designs is swoon-worthy!

Today I'm showcasing a number of items included in the Zest Bundle, along with one of the beautiful colors from the new Forever 13 Embossing Trio by Wow. As always, I started with a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock. Onto it, I ink blended a soft background of Be Mine Ink. Then, I stamped the beautiful Fresh Squeezed Background Stamp in Be Mine Ink and immediately heat set the Be Mine color from the Forever 13 Embossing Trio by Wow to add a bit of sparkle and shine.

I finished the card by die-cutting the sentiment from the wonderfully, intricately designed Beautiful Word Die and Smile, Beautiful Stamp Set.

The Composition Notebook Bundle

 I'm excited to show you this card I made using a few new items from the Composition Notebook Bundle from the Forever 13 Release from Catherine Pooler Designs! 

The Composition Notebook Bundle is so much fun, and brings me back to my childhood days of doodling and writing everything in those handy notebooks!

I started with some Ultra Smooth White Cardstock and ink blended Aquatini, Garden Party and Flirty Fuchsia. Over it I stamped the new Composition Notebook Background Stamp in Suede Shoes. Isn't it cool how it looks exactly like those kinds of notebooks?! I then got to add the fun sentiment using the Composition Label Dies and Composition Sentiments Stamp Set!

Hawaiian Days

We've had a busy few months at work with a roll-out of a new system and workflows. The management team decided to have Theme Days for staff to enjoy and have a bit of fun. Our department chose to have a Hawaiian Day. To help celebrate, I made little tropical notes of encouragement (albeit I made them the night before, so these had to be quick and simple!).

These all started with Ultra Smooth White Cardstock (Affiliate links used when possible) and many items from Catherine Pooler Designs Tropically Yours Collection. I used inks mainly from the Party Collections.





The stamp sets I chose to work with are:

Happy to say that these little notes of encouragement had a great reception and most are displayed proudly in my co-workers' cubicles.

Spellbinders Modern Essentials Collection

I had the great pleasure to play with some products from the Modern Essentials Collection from Spellbinders! The Modern Essentials Collection is just that-every day essentials for your crafty stash with just a little bit of a modern twist.

My first card today features the smallest two ovals from the Nestabilities Essential Ovals Etched Dies. I wanted to think outside the box so I created some mod flowers! I first die cut single line oval die from cardstock, then die cut half of it with the dotted oval die from the collection. I then used some embroidery floss to make them into flowers. (Stamps and inks from Catherine Pooler Designs.) I finished the card with a black sentiment die cut from the cool Die D-Lites Bold Hello Etched Dies from Spellbinders. This particular die from the set has a cool detail that my camera was unable to catch-I love the lines etched into the die that transfers onto the cardstock!

I went with a modern design on my second card as well, keeping it clean and simple. This card focuses on the Die D-Lites Bold Hello Etched Dies popped up on a strip of old patterned paper. I embellished the card with scallops created from the Nestabilities Essential Ovals Etched Dies.

I really love the clean and simple, mod and modern designs of these cards. The Modern Essentials Collection from Spellbinders really makes it easy to create trendy, clean and simple creations which rank among my favorites!
