Black Friday Continues!

My card today started with the Beautiful Day Floral Stamp Set stamped onto Ultra Smooth White Cardstock in Midnight Ink three different times. (Beautiful Day Floral Dies are also on sale-I didn't use them on this card but they coordinate perfectly!) I then colored the images with Copic Markers (also available in the shop) I then finished the card with a stamped sentiment from the Thoughtful Phrases Stamp Set. My props include patterns from the Summer Pick-N-Mix Patterned Paper - which is also on major sale!

Catherine Pooler Designs Black Friday Sale

 Catherine Pooler Designs is having an epic Black Friday Sale!

Gear up for some fabulous holiday shopping...for a crafty friend, or better yet, for yourself! You deserve it! Black Friday Starts today noon and goes through Cyber Monday 11/29 at 11:59pm! Grab your favorites before they sell out!

One of the items on sale is the Fresh Squeezed Background Stamp, that I used in my card today. It is going to be 50% off!! I stamped the image with Midnight Ink onto vellum paper, and then colored the image in with Tombow Markers. (These markers were gifted to me to try out, and I have to say they are so vibrant an easy to work with! The colors moved around so well on vellum paper, I was able to blend with ease.)

I then trimmed the panel and mounted it to a card base made from Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, a staple in my craft room. I scored the panel a 1/4 from the top and adhered just that flap to the backside of my card base. The result is a fun overlay for the front of a card, reminding me of the fancy and expensive greeting cards that you'd buy in a store.

I finished the card with a die cut greeting from the Blessed Word Die that I covered in Halo Embossing Powder by Wow. I finished the card with a stamped and heat embossed greeting from the Abundantly Blessed Stamp Set.

A Twist on a Color Combo

I was inspired by a color combination that Catherine Pooler is sharing over at StampNation! She was inspired by the the Starbucks Holiday cups this year.

I was determined to up the ante for myself and create a non-Christmas card. I'm no so sure I was successful, as this card is a bit busy to my liking, but it was still so much fun!

 I chose to base my card around the Doxie Birthday Stamp Set and Doxie Birthday Dies and created a children's birthday card. On the top portion of the card in Sweet Sixteen, I stamped Doin' The Polka Background and on the bottom I stamped the Painted Stripe Background in Garden Party. I then added a heat embossed sentiment strip from Doxie Birthday to separate the two. Then I stamped and die cut the pup and accessories in the following colors: Rockin' Red, Do-Si-Do and Deck the Halls . I did add in a neutral of Midnight Ink as well.

Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler Designs Collaboration Blog Hop!
Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies!

I have a few cards that I'd like to showcase today featuring Catherine Pooler Design images and sentiments, and Heffy Doodle interactive dies. For this first card, I stamped, die cut and colored the butterflies from Just Soar Stamp and Dies. I then used the Heffy Doodle Slimline Pull Tab Die to create the background and interactive function of them slimline card. The background was covered in a Cummerbund Ink, water and black splatters. I finished the card with a sentiment from Just Soar. When the recipient pulls the tab on top, the butterflies move with it, mimicking their flight through the air.

My second card was created as a retirement card. 

I created this card first by swiping the ink colors (from top to bottom) Serene, Hot Tub, In the Park, Lemongrass and Melon Ice to represent ground and sky, and then flicked some water over the panel for added texture. The panel was then die cut with Heffy Doodle's Slider Pop Up Die, and I created the pull up panel and tab as well.

I then adhered the mountains and trees stamped from the Mountain of Thanks Stamp Set and Dies in Midnight Ink. These elements were adhered with foam adhesive for some layers, and I made sure that none of the elements were adhered over each of the folds.

I then stamped a mixture of sentiments from Mountain of Thanks and One Liners Sentiment Stamp Set that is revealed as the panel is pulled up. So cool how the mountains also stand up, love it!
