Graduation Stars

 Catherine Pooler Designs Every Occasions Stamp Set  couldn't have arrived in a more perfect time...it is absolutely perfect for graduation season! 

As usual, my card started with an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock base. I then stamped "Congrats" in the lower right corner and complimented it with a black stamped graduation cap from the Peeking Pets Stamp Set, as well as a complimentary sentiment from One Liners.

Then I stamped in a series of orange-hued inks the star image from Every Occasions- matching the orange and black colors of the recipient's high school. I finished the card with some glittered covered glue dots. 

The card is being mailed, so the one layer design was a perfect choice.

Spellbinders Birthday Celebration Event

What a pleasure it is to help Spellbinders celebrate their 20th Birthday with a Birthday Celebration Event! Spellbinders always has intricate and innovative designs, especially with their die cutting products. They also offer an exclusive line of hot foil items, stencils, stamps and paper too! A whole lot of other crafters are celebrating on their blogs too, featuring items from the Birthday Celebrations Collection.

I'm starting out with a cute card set featuring the Balloon Party Animal Etched Die Set, which I die cut from the Cheerful Occasion Paper Pad.

I added a few shadows with Copic Markers and highlights with a White Gel Pen to the balloon pup following the scored lines from the die. I finished the cards with a complimentary ink to the paper and stamps from Catherine Pooler Designs.

My next card features the really fun Surprise Box Etched Dies from Spellbinders. It was so super easy to create a realistic box with balloons popping out of it! This card also uses patterned paper from Cheerful Occasion Paper Pad, and stamps from Catherine Pooler Designs. The balloons, complete with a real string, are from an older Spellbinders set, the Shapeabilities Sunday Drive Etched Dies.

StampNation Summer Splash

Catherine Pooler has a summer card challenge going on over at StampNation! I'm the host for Week Four.

I wanted to showcase the card here on my personal blog today because I love the card I created! The blue "ocean" is made of tissue paper that was watercolored with ink and dried, adhered behind a cardstock frame. Before placing the frame onto the card, I added some sequins to mimic bubbles.

Roses and Wishes

Catherine Pooler Designs released a new collection called the Quint-Essentials Collection! It is full of basics and cute stamp sets, it also introduces the last four of the Apothecary Ink colors: Whipped Honey, Crushed Violet, Lilac and Matcha!

For this card, I started with an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock base and panel, I die cut a circle out from the Double Duty Circle Dies-I love the added details of the little dots on the outside of the circle! That left me a focal area, so onto the card base, I stamped images from the previously released Fresh Picked Floral Stamp Set and colored them with Copic Markers. I added a background of Copic colored dots. 

I finished the card with a classy sentiment from the Every Occasions Stamp Set.
