Glitter Bear

I had limited time to craft this past week, so when I went to sit down, I looked through some leftover die cuts. I found this awesome silhouette bear from Catherine Pooler Design's Wild About You Dies.

I decided to first cover it in covered in Twilight Ink, then embossing ink and then heat set Midas Embossing Powder by Wow. The shine and texture is incredible!

Then, onto a card base of Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, I stamped one pattern from the Bold Bits & Patterns Stamp Set in Serenade, Tranquil and Serene. I added some bear prints stamped in silver ink from the Wild About You Stamp Set and finished with a sentiment from Puddle Play Stamp Set stamped in Cove Blue Ink.

Plaid Cupcake

I absolutely adore the Wonky Stripe Background Stamp from the Snow-rific Birthday Collection (and the Extra Frosting Bundle) from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I created a soft plaid backdrop for the cupcake by swiping Sparkling Berry onto the stamp, stamping onto the Ultra Smooth White Cardstock, flipping the stamp, swiped it with Clay Mask and then stamped again. By swiping the ink across the stamp, it lightened the saturation of the ink onto the paper. It almost looks like many sketched lines creating the plaid!

I added the cupcake too, stamped with Extra Frosting Stamp Set and die cut with Extra Frosting Dies. The liner was stamped in full saturation in Clay Mask along with the candle flame. The candle was stamped in full saturation with Sparkling Berry, and the frosting was stamped in Whipped Honey and covered with a glitter pen. I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from Everybody Say Happy Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped with Sparkling Berry.

So Sweet (With a Cherry on Top!)

This bundle includes the Extra Frosting Stamp Set, corresponding Extra Frosting Dies, Everybody Say Happy Sentiments Stamp Set, Party Tag Dies and the super versatile Wonky Stripe Background Stamp. 

I really wanted to play with the Wonky Stripe Background Stamp and feature it on my card today. Starting with an Ultra Smooth White Cardstock I first stamped the Wonky Stripe in It's a Girl Ink, then flipped my card upside down and stamped again with Party Dress. I love how this kind of stamping left white areas as well, so it looks like three striped colors.

I stamped and die cut the cherry from  the Extra Frosting Stamp Set, corresponding Extra Frosting Dies in Rockin' Red and the stem in Twilight-adding some clear Nuvo Glaze on top of the cherry. The "you are" came from Bright Days Stamp Set and I die cut from silver cardstock the word sweet from the Sweet Die. I also stamped a cherry on the inside of the card with a thank you from the Handwritten Thank You Sentiment Stamp Set.
